'Hey.' Penny stopped by the populars' table. Technically it was also her table where they usually sat during lunch.
The group of well-groomed seniors stared at her pointedly.
'I'm looking for Finn? ' she said in a clear loud voice.
'I am he.' A guy stood up. He had an amused look on his tanned face with well-defined features.
'I need to talk to you. In private. ' Penny said.
'Um, sure.' Finn got out of his seat and followed her to a corner.
'Looks familiar? ' Penny fished out the yearbook and stabbed at the defaced image of Mr P with a finger.
'Woah woah, easy there tiger, ' Finn held up his hands. He was definitely gonna be a tough nut to crack. 'Who are you?'
'Daphne's friend.' Penny said impatiently. 'So, did you?'
'Yeah... so?'
'Do you by any chance have something personal against him?'
Penny watched his facial expression carefully.
Shifty eyes, running through a hand through his windswept hair. Something was off.
'He's just a teacher, not my friend or anything. ' he laughed. 'Is this your
way of hitting on me? Cmon, I gotta admit you do look pretty damn fine. ' he lowered his voice.
It was only at this point where Penny realised how much of a douchebag guys were, especially the popular ones.
'Alright, I'll cut to the chase then.' She enunciated the next few words clearly. 'Did you try to inflict harm on Mr P in this cafeteria a few days ago?'
'Wow, a girl with an imagination. ' Finn grinned.
Penny gave a deadpanned look. She was never gonna budge.
Seeing her expression, Finn knew she was 100% serious. 'Ok, I have something to tell you. Come with me. '
Penny glanced at him suspiciously and followed a few feet behind.
'You see.' Finn started to say as they entered an empty classroom. 'Daphne was such a great girl. Until she started to cheat. Blatantly. That bitch -' his voice filled with bitterness. 'She even tried to get into Mr P's pants.'
'Excuse me?' Penny's jaw dropped. She knew it was unattractive but it was not the time to think about this.
'You heard me. She was actually interested in that old windbag. Why am I not good enough? Not for anyone. My parents are always on my case but do you know how freaking tough it is to be on top of everything? As if it isn't bad enough that my first ever girlfriend fucked around. '
'First?' Penny couldn't help herself.
'Back then I was the roundest boy you would have laid your hands on.' He laughed. It was one full of bitterness and pain. 'Of course no girls will ever think of doing that. My life is nothing if not screwed up and unworthy. '
'Finn... '
'Don't use that fucking tone. So I did it. I attacked him. And he's still in a coma. It's my wish that he stays this way forever. At least I have one obstacle out of the way. Even this makes me feel just slightly better.'
The classroom seemed to start closing in all of a sudden as Finn leant forward to trace a line down Penny's cheek. She could only shiver at the coldness of his finger, not even daring to say anything or move.
'Now that you know, ' Finn smiled a sinister smile, 'you either do what I say or rest in peace. ' he laughed. 'Guess I forgot everyone breaks their promises.'
The sharp cold metal against her neck didn't register until Finn spoke again, this time in a sickly sweet tone. 'Just one tiny cut... and your blood will spurt all over the carpet like the most gorgeous man-made fountain.'
A/N: seems like the mystery is solved... but in the worst possible way...><
Don't forget that Sheldon and Amy are still not the best of pals, and Howard's still hung up on Bernadette ,no matter how much he tries to get over her )':
