Chapter 13-The Start of The Big Bang

The journey to Penny's house took a mere ten minutes, and even Sheldon couldn't contain his awe as he took in the majestic mansion which Penny called home.

'Wow Penny, you gotta invite me over to your place more often,' Howard said playfully.

'You guys make yourselves comfortable in the hall. Maria?' Penny called out. A lady dressed in a crisp white maid's uniform came running out from the kitchen. 'Get my friends some Sprite.' She then turned towards the marble staircase and made her way up.

'Wow, ' Raj could finally speak since Penny was out of the room. 'Look! '

The guys crowded around a window and glanced at the Olympic-sized swimming pool which was shaped like a heart. The water gleamed invitingly as the sun sprinkled blue and white crystals all over the surface.

'Hey Raj, ' Howard said in a strange tone.

'Oh no. Howard Wolowitz...,' Raj warned.

'Hell yeah,' Howard grinned. He found the back door wide open and ran through it. After stripping down to his undies, he caught sight of the diving board from above.

'Howard! Don't even think about it!' Raj yelled.

'YOLO!" Howard threw caution to the wind and promptly cannon-balled into the water.

Raj groaned as a Howard's pale body cut through the air and landed with a resounding SPLASH.

'Howard! Get out now!' Raj shouted desperately.

A full minute passed, and his friend was still nowhere to be seen.

'Ohmygod, is he dead?' Raj gasped.

'Ah, a very appropriate question,' Sheldon looked happy to have an excuse to flaunt his knowledge. 'It's known as Scrodinger's cat. We have absolutely no way of knowing if a cat is dead or alive when it's kept in a box, so it's both dead and alive. Therefore, Howard-'

'Gentlemen,' Maria came up from behind them, holding a tray of the bubbly soda.

'Excuse me, I am talking, ' Sheldon glared at her.

'Hey, we can leave soon. Where's Howard? ' Penny suddenly materialised beside Raj, startling him. Raj pointed at the pool with a trembling finger and pulled at Sheldon's sleeve.

'Oh, Howard ? He's in the pool, ' Sheldon said, grabbing his Sprite from Maria.

'The pool?' Penny gulped. 'It's under construction. There are lots of metal bits inside! ' she took off her shirt right in front of them and climbed stealthily into the pool.

'What I would do for a girl to do that in front of me again,' Raj mumbled.

'BOO!' suddenly a skinny figure leapt out from the chlorinated water, promptly scaring Penny who was right beside.

'Howard Wolowitz!!!' Penny's face burned with humiliation and anger.

'Sorry to make you guys freak out,' Howard said in a chipper tone. 'But now I know how much you guys care about me.'

The rest glared at him.

'Hey, don't tell me you guys didn't enjoy looking at Penny, ' Howard teased. Raj started choking on his Sprite while Sheldon stared at Penny in a strange way.

'Oh, Wolowitz, you wish you can get me,' Penny said in the most obnoxious tone she could muster as she trailed her hands down her body seductively.

Sheldon's lips turned up in a half smile as he chuckled. 'Good one, Penny.'

Penny couldn't hold back her grin. 'Thank you, Mr Cooper. Shall we go?' She picked up her shirt and a huge Victoria secret suitcase and headed for the door.
