Forbidden Love.

Kai sneaked through the shadows. It was night time and the other ninja were asleep back on on the bounty. He made sure he was extra quiet so they wouldn't find out his secret.

That he was in love and dating their former teammate. Lloyd.

It all happened so fast. The rest of the ninja, except Kai, were being so cruel to Lloyd just because he acted immature in the past and that his father was evil. Kai tried his best to make his boyfriend stay, comfort him and protect him all he could. Show him with all the love Kai could give him. But Lloyd left them, left him, to join his father in the war.

And he didn't even say goodbye...

Kai's heart was broken after that. He refused to talk to his teammates and his little sister for what they did, no matter how much they begged for him to speak. He was upset, hurt, and angry that Lloyd had left him after everything Kai did to make him stay. He missed Lloyd so much, and wanted him back.

He received a letter from said blond to meet him in the forest at midnight. After not seeing or hearing from his boyfriend in months, Kai decided to go. He didn't dare tell the others or Sensei about it, he couldn't. They would lock him up somewhere he couldn't escape.

Now Kai was in the woods where Lloyd told him to meet him. His heart raced in his chest from seeing his boyfriend for the first time in months, but his brain tried to organize his emotions. He took off his hood and sighed tiredly. He just wanted all of this to end, for everyone to be at peace. To have a happy life with his boyfriend and everyone on the same side. Was that to much to ask?

"Kai? Is that you?"

Kai inhaled sharply and turned around. His boyfriend was wearing a body suit with markings on it, and a cloak with a hood that covered his eyes, which he took off. Kai missed those beautiful green eyes, and that adorable face. Kai let out a shaky sigh and rushed up to his boyfriend, taking him into a tight embrace with their lips smashed together. Lloyd moaned, leaning down to kiss back. Kai always hated that Lloyd was taller than him, and acted like he was the one wearing the pants in their relationship, which he was but still. Their lips smashed together intensely, Lloyd moaned when Kai's tongue slipped into his mouth and explored it. He ran his hands through Kai's hair and tugged it, making Kai groan softly. He cupped Lloyd's cheeks and pulled his head closer, both tilting their heads as they continued to make out. They stayed in lip lock for about five more minutes before pulling away, leaning their heads on each other.

"Damn I missed that." Lloyd panted with a smile.

Kai pulled away and turned so his back as facing Lloyd. Lloyd raised an eyebrow in confusion and walked towards his boyfriend.

"What's-"

"Was I not enough for you?" Kai said sternly, glancing over his shoulder to narrow his eyes at the blond.

"What?" Lloyd asked

"Was I not enough for you?" Kai repeated "Did you really need more love from me to stay."

Lloyd sighed and ran a hand through his hair "Kai, that's not it at all."

"So what the fuck is it?! Because I have been spending the last few months alone in my damn empty bed thinking what I've done wrong!" Kai yelled, facing Lloyd "Was I not enough for you?!"

"That's not it!" Lloyd growled "You don't know how much fucking pain I've felt dealing with them, and everyone's insults, every. Single. Day. It hurt, because I thought they cared about me!"

"I did everything to protect you!" Kai shouted, his voice cracking and tears welling up in his eyes "I loved you every day! I protected you from them! I was by your side every. Single. Day! I gave you more attention then anyone! I wasn't enough for you!"
