Greenflame Oneshots (Hiatus)

Childhood Friends.

15 years ago...

In the spring time, the Smith's always go for their annual park day. They'd play together and make new friends and have lots of fun. A little spiky brunette boy ran across the fields laughing loudly to chase his soccer ball. He didn't realize he was that far from his family until he kicked his ball into the bushes. Strangely, it went straight through. The brunette raised his eyebrow in confusion and got on all fours, crawling through the rough twigs, branches, and leaves.

When he came through, he looked around him in away. The place was full of flowers! Pretty ones too. The brunette saw his ball and smirked. He was about to kick it again, when he stopped, and saw this adorable blonde boy under the cheery blossom tree weaving flowers into some type of...crown? The little brunette's eyes lit up, seeing someone else know how to make flower crowns, his mommy made them all the time.

"Hey! Heeeeeeey!" Kai Smith picked up his soccer ball and ran to the blonde little boy at the top of the hill.

The blonde jumped in surprised, and turned to look up at Kai "Um...hi?"

Kai smiled widely with one of his front teeth missing, crouching down after putting his soccer ball to side "Whatcha doin?"

The blonde began to fidget under the stare of the brunette "U-Uh...f-flowew cwowns?"

"I knew it!" Kai cheered, making the blonde flinched causing Kai to grin sheepishly "Oh, sorry. My mommy told me I can get a bit to excited."

Kai took a deep breath and crossed crossed his legs "Do you need some help?"

The blonde suddenly sniffled, looking down at his failed attempt to make a crown of flowers and vines "Y-Yeah. I-I can't get it wight!"

Kai rubbed his back "Hey, don't cry. Can I help? My mommy showed me how to make it in a special way."

The blonde's eyes lit up "W-Weally?!"

Kai wiped the tears out of the corner of the blonde's eyes "Sure! My name's Kai by the way."

The blonde bit his lip, hesitant "I-I'm Lloyd."

Kai grinned and took the materials in his small hands, starting to craft the crown while making conversation "Nice to meet you Lloyd! Why are you all alone?"

"Well, I don't have any fwiends. Evewyone I meet thinks I'm weiwd." Lloyd sniffled, looking down at his lap "J-Just cuz I like...I like stuff like flowew cwowns! A-And that my eyes is diffewewent!"

"Whaaat?! That's crazy!" Kai rolled his eyes "That's not weird! I think you're very uni...un...uni-que...unique!"

"What's that?" Lloyd asked, tilting his head.

"My daddy told me when I tell someone they're unique, that means they're special! Really special! So, I think you're special, Lloyd!" Kai smiled brightly.

Lloyd's cheeks turned a dark pink "Y-You do?"

Kai nodded "Yup yup! Oh, and your flower crown is done!"

Lloyd gasped softly, gazing at the beautifully twined white tulips and vines in a shape if a crown. Kai stood on his knees and gently placed the crown on Lloyd's fluffy blond hair. Lloyd giggled happily, staring at Kai with his bright red eyes. Kai s cheeks turned the color of his shirt when he heard Lloyd giggle. It was adorable.

"You're really cute." Kai said out loud, causing Lloyd to stop giggling and stare at him "I-I mean...-uhhh, what I meant was....umm-"
