Not So Bad Disease Pt. 2

2 weeks past, and Lloyd was getting worse. He tried and tried to confess his feelings to Kai, but he was either interrupted by a mission or someone else. It was really frustrating, especially since he only had a week left before he would suffocate and die.

The others noticed his condition by the wheezing and hackling, and told him to stop coming to school until all of this was solved. He agreed, not having the the strength to argue. He laid on his couch in his Uncle's home, staring at the ceiling in deep thought.

"Why is this so hard?" Lloyd muttered to himself "It's just three simple words to say to him. 'I love you, Kai', it shouldn't be this difficult. Now I'm really gonna die alone when everyone wants me to get with him. Even my own body wants me to get together with Kai." Lloyd sat up and put his head in his hands "I hate being useless. I hate staying in bed while my friends are out there saving the world or going to get their education. If I had told him from the start, I wouldn't have this stupid Hanahaki ruining my life!"

A knock came from his door, making Lloyd jump, but then relax. The others had taken turns to watch Lloyd for the day, to make sure he was alright and doesn't suddenly...y'know. It was Kai's turn to watch him today, which gave Lloyd a great opportunity to confess and get it over with. By now, he didn't care if he died or not, all he wanted to know is Kai's answer. Lloyd stood, his legs trembling a little, and walked over to the door and opened it. Kai's handsome, beautiful face shined through the sunlight; his tan yet smooth, muscular skin, his rosy cheeks, his beautiful smile, and his glittering amber eyes that held so much emotion.

"Hi Kai!" Lloyd waved happily.

Kai blushed slight and waved back "Hey Lloyd. Can I come in?"

Lloyd stepped aside and let Kai walk through, closing the door behind him as Kai bit his lip "Are you okay? Is it getting worse?"

"Kai, I'm fine. Really." Lloyd smiled at Kai's concern, and coughed.

Kai rushed to his side "Lloyd! Is it gonna happen again? Do you need to sit down? Do you need a bucket?"

"Kai," Lloyd chuckled "I'm fine. It was just a cough."

Kai sighed in relief "Oh thank god. So, um, are you gonna confess-"

"No." Lloyd said bluntly, walking to the sofa.

"Why?"

"Because I said so."

"B-But, you don't have time for this! It's already been three weeks and your dying! You don't have time to be stubborn." Kai shout, standing in front of his best friend with narrowed eyes "Just confess already!"

"No!" Lloyd growled "I am not confessing! I mind as well die right now because I won't ever confess!"

"How can you say something so selfish?!"

"Its not selfish to me if I wanna die!"

"Well it is to me!" Kai shouted, tears in his eyes "I don't want you to die! I don't want to lose anyone else anymore! I lost my mom, my dad, and almost Nya! She would've died if we didn't save her! And now your dying too! I...I can't deal with that, Lloyd! I can't deal with the fact that your leaving me alone again when you promised you wouldn't! Sure, I have the others but that's not the same as having you here! Do you know how much I'll miss you?! I...just, I just-"

Kai was cut off when Lloyd cupped his cheeks and brought him into a passionate kiss. His cheeks blossomed dark red, and the tears started to fall from his cheeks. He kissed back out of all the emotions he was feeling. It was a few seconds before Lloyd pulled away.

"I like-no, I love you Kai." Lloyd whispered "Happy?"

Kai blinked in shock, and couldn't find the right words to say. Instead, he kissed Lloyd again, moaning softly. Lloyd kissed back instantly, placing his hands on Kai's chest and picking at the buttons. Kai wrapped his arms on Lloyd's waist, tugging on his pants. He pulled away, realizing what he was doing, and blushed even more.
