A///N: Hola. This is an edit and to all the people who keep asking if Lloyd is trans or why he is a she, no. I chose Lloyd to be a girl in this chapter and I would very much like for you all to stop asking the same questions, please. I apologise for not making that clear. Gracias, amigos.

Lloyd sighed from her bed as she stared out her and Kai's window. She shared a room with her best friend, even if the others were against it. But she kinda understood why. She was a girl and he was a guy. But they wouldn't do anything like that at all. They're best friends for FSM's sake. And they were only 17.

Lloyd let her long, blond hair down , having the upper part into a beautiful green bow Kai gave her. She wore sweat pants and a light green tank top. Her beautiful green eyes stared longingly and sadly out the window. It was 5 months from today since she banished her father to the departed realm. Everyone had been there for her, especially Kai. He would let her cry as loudly as she wanted to on his shoulder. He would make sure no one bothered her when she needed time alone. He had stayed up late at night with her when she had nightmare. He would make her hot chocolate to calm her down, because only he knew how to make it just right.

The thought make Lloyd smile to herself, but she frowned again at the thought of her father. She missed him so much. She missed flying kites with him and staying up late to watch movies together. Tears rose up in her eyes as she let out a soft sob.

A hand cupped her cheek, making her flinched in surprise. She turned her heard and saw Kai smiling softly down at her. Lloyd's face crumbled and she lunged herself onto him. She nuzzled her head in his chest and sniffed. He had wrapped an arm around her waist and the other stroked and played with her hair.

"Shhh...it's okay, Green bean." Kai cooed.

"I'm sorry I'm bothering you with this over and over again. I know its annoying." Lloyd muttered.

Kai tilted her chin up so they stared each other in the eye. Lloyd saw so much emotion in his eyes she wish she had. Compassion. Worry. Comfort. Warmth. All in those beautiful Holden ambers she had loved dearly. Like she had loved him. She loved Kai so much more than a best friend, and loved how much he cared for her so much.

"Oh Lloyd, you know I would never think that about you sweetie. Your grieving and I more than understand that." Kai said, making Lloyd's heart skip at the nick name "I'm always here for you, no matter what."

"I just," Lloyd sniffed "I miss him so much. I wonder everyday if he has the heart to forgive me for banishing him to that dreadful place."

"Lloydie." Kai said softly "He wanted you to do what's best for Ninjago. You know he wanted the best for your safety. He wouldn't and couldn't be mad at you like the rest of us aren't."

"I just hope he doesn't hate me." Lloyd muttered.

Kai frowned at his best friend, hating to see her like this. He missed the smiley, beautiful, energetic person he fell so deeply in love with. She barley grinned, she was still beautiful even with tears running down her cheeks, and she barley left their room. He knew she was slowly getting better, but needed a little push. And this was the perfect time to give her that push.

"This reminds me of a song I always heard my mother and father to one another." Kai smiled, letting Lloyd go before getting his keyboard Cole got him.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow at her best friend, pulling her knees to her chest and hugging them closely "What's the song?"

"Just listen, greenie." Kai winked, making Lloyd blush.

Kai's gentle fingers hit the keys, starting off the melody with his smooth voice that made Lloyd blush "Exchanging glances and taking chances

Lloyd blushed deeper as Kai stared at her with admire and passion in his eyes. She smiled softly at the words, making him smile back. Their hearts were racing in their chest as Kai sang the next few lyrics.

"Exchanging letters makes the days seem better

It's just that simple phrase is enough to make my day
And when you sit next to me my heart skips two beats."

Lloyd hummed to the melody and sang with Kai the next few lyrics before she sang on her own "You're sweet like honey nice and divine

They take a quick pause, staring softly at each other with love in their eyes before they sang again "That you're sweet like honey nice and divine

Kai ended the last note and placed his keyboard aside. Lloyd had a bright smile on her face that looked beautiful with her rosey cheeks.

"There it is." Kai smiled in satisfaction "There's the smile I love so much."

Lloyd giggled and hugged Kai tightly, looking up at him from his chest "I do feel better. Your song is amazing."

"Probably because most of it was about you." Kai winked.

Lloyd giggled again and sighed softly "I...I think I'm ready to move on from his death."

"Really?"

"Yeah. He wouldn't want me to be sad like this." Lloyd smiled, nuzzling her head in the cock of Kai's neck "Lets stay like this all day long."

"Anything for you Lloyd." Kai smiled, tightening his grip on her "I love you."

Lloyd fluttered her eyes at him, making his heart scream at her cuteness, and giggled for the third time "I...I love you too."

Kai's smile couldn't get any wider then it already was. He leaned down and gave Lloyd a kiss, shocking her. His lips were warm against her's, and she loved the feeling. She kissed back, closing her eyes happily and cupped his cheek to pull him closer. They tilted their heads to deepen the loving and passionate kiss that symbolized their relationship and strong bond. They pulled away for air, panting as they stared each other in the eyes to only see their love for one another.

"I promise to stay by your side as long as both of us live." Kai muttered sweetly "I love you so much, sweetheart."

"And I love you too, so much." Lloyd sighed and nuzzled her head back into Kai's neck, resting her hands on his chest.

Kai kissed her forehead and leaned on the wall closely behind him. Together, they stared out their window with a now much more comfortable atmosphere
