It was a slow day for a Friday. The sky continued to turn darker and darker with each other that passes by. It would be the first time it rain in months with all the dry weather they were having.

Kai was placing his books in his books in his locker when Lloyd came out of nowhere and leaned on the locker next to him "Hey Kai."

Kai gave him a warm smile, his cheeks turning pink "Hi."

"Ready to go? The others already left to your house." Lloyd replied.

Kai closed his locker and slung his bag over his shoulder "They did? Why?"

Lloyd shrugged "Something about doing homework early and not waiting for you."

Kai scoffed "The thanks I get for helping those jokes for their history work. Why didn't you leave?"

Lloyd slung an arm around Kai's shoulders and pulled him close "Cuz, couldn't leave you behind. I don't like it when you're alone."

Kai nodded, not trusting himself to talk. He cursed and thanked his friends and sister in his head for this walk. He's had a crush on Lloyd for as long as he remembered, which was second grade. Now they're seniors and he still has yet to confess before they go off to college. But everytime he tried he would either not be noticed, his actions known for friendship, or Lloyd wouldn't notice him trying to so hard and walk away. So he gave up and just started pinning from afar. It hurt so much that Lloyd was so oblivious to his feelings.

"Hey, you ok? You've been quiet for a few minutes." Lloyd asked, concerned.

Kai smiled and leaned closer into the embrace "I'm fine. Just thinking."

"About what?"

"Just...stuff." Kai blushed "Were you talking?"

"Yeah. I actually was talking about this new song Jay showed me."

For the rest of the walk home, the two talked side by side. But the dark thoughts haven't left Kai's mind.

"I'm bored." Jay groaned, laying his head in Nya's lap and his legs in Cole's.

"Yeah, school wasn't even this boring." Nya yawned "What do you guys wanna do?"

"Sleep?" Lloyd suggested.

"Really?" Kai gave him a blank look.

"What? School is exhausting."

"It was a half day."

"Your point?" Lloyd raised his eyebrow and laid his head in Kai's lap.

Kai blushed and ran his finger's through his crush's hair, loving how soft it was. Lloyd didn't notice because he closed his eyes but didn't fall asleep. He sneaked his hand over and intertwined it with the blushing brunette, rubbing Kai's knuckles. Kai blushed even more and tried to pay attention to the conversation.

"We could always watch a movie." Cole shrugged.

"We have already watched movies on Netflix all this week." Zane said, looking up from his phone "And the week after."

"What about 20 question?"

"Jay, we've all known each other our whole lives. What questions are we even gonna ask?"

"Uh...what's my favorite-"

"Your favorite food is mac and cheese, your favorite video game is Prime Empire, your favorite band is Panic! At The Disco, your favorite song is Happier, and your favorite color is blue." Kai listed.
