"He's been at this for the past few weeks... He HAS to be tired out by now." Yorktown says as she and the others watch Commander Tran follow a crazy routine that consists of waking up early in the morning, missing out on breakfast to get to his office, constantly switch between said office and the research lab where he can be heard brainstorming ideas with the others, go off somewhere to eat, and then repeat this process well into the night.

"Is this because we got defeated that one time?" Hornet asks.

"I highly doubt it." Pennsylvania replies. "I think it has more to do with the fact that we're behind in the arms race I guess. I mean our enemy has made some pretty good developments."

"If I were to work like that even for two days I wouldn't be able to do anything for a week afterwards!" Belfast says as she walks over to where the girls are sitting. "I've also noticed that when he sleeps, it's long after you guys have already gone off to bed. At the very least he takes a nice long shower before he heads off to bed himself!"

"We maids usually don't rest until everyone else has, and your commander has gone well into midnight, sometimes alone." Dido adds.

"It's almost like he has no free time or he's sacrificing it all to put himself to this." Newcastle says in disbelief. "That can't possibly be good for his heart!"

"Well try not to jinx it. He's already got a bad heart." Lexington says, but suddenly she hears Commander Tran gasping in pain. "Too late. I'll go see if he's alright." She mumbles as she walks off.

"What do you mean by that?" Belfast asks.

"Well, we delved into his backstory with him once and he mentioned how he suffers these chest pains that are heavily reminiscent of a heart attack." Enterprise explains. "He still suffers them but not as bad as he did before." And once Enterprise is finished explaining Lexington brings Commander Tran over and it's clear that despite his tough, stoic appearance his new "action packed" routine has been taking a toll on him as his eyes appear to be sunken and he seems to have lost a drastic amount of weight as his uniform fits more loosely than normal.

"I'm fine, seriously." Commander Tran says as he attempts to go off but Lexington holds him back.

"No you are not fine." Lexington replies, but before the argument can continue any further something rocks the base and everyone looks outside to see Bismarck, Mikasa, Akagi and Kaga waiting outside with some of their ships. The girls immediately rush out to engage, but much to their surprise the commander also rushes out to the docks. "Commander what are you doing?! Do you even have a flagship?!"

"Sure I do!" Commander Tran says as he gets into his flagship. It's much similar to the all black battleships that carried the prototype bunker buster shells in color and appearance, and it takes some time to move out as the other girls release their riggings and sail alongside the flagship.

"So, we got your attention." Mikasa says.

"What do you want?" Enterprise asks.

"We just wanted to show off some of our new advances." Bismarck chuckles evilly as one of the jaws in her rigging opens up to reveal a strange energy glowing inside it before a powerful energy wave is shot out into the sky. "Surely you can't beat the likes of... This..." The Ironblood leader slowly trails off as she notices Commander Tran, and any fear she was giving off slowly turns to worry as Mikasa and the other Sakura Empire ships begin to notice as well.

"...Is that... Your commander?" Akagi asks. "I know for a fact that we didn't do anything to him besides blow up his ship! What in the world happened?!"
