"It's a relief that nobody was hurt." Commander Tran chuckles weakly as Dido carefully sets him back on his feet once they are back at the docks. He nearly collapses as he tries to take a step though, and Dido quickly provides support. "Thanks for saving me Dido."

"No problem." Dido replies. "But I still can't believe what just happened."

"It was like someone strapped a minigun onto her back or something, there is no way that a battleship could put out that much gunfire, no matter how many cannons they may have." Pennsylvania and Belfast say.

"Seems like we underestimated them." Commander Tran says. "To think they had this kind of technology hidden away from us?"

"It could just be the fact that the Ironblood has been trading with them, but I have not seen anything like that before, not even from them." Enterprise says. "And that whirring noise... It sounded anything but mechanical." She adds, remembering the odd whirring noise that she heard before Mikasa unleashed her hellfire.

"I have no idea what that was, but I am not about to let our enemies show us up like that." Commander Tran mumbles. "The problem is though, we don't have a dedicated research facility. The only reason we got those bunker buster shells was because some genius in the base managed to create them."

"So you're essentially going to start this?" Hornet asks.

"Yep, that's exactly what I'm going to do." Commander Tran replies. "If this genius were to join this would be all the better. And with that he breaks off from the group to speak with the admiralty about it, leaving the ship girls somewhat confused.

"Huh." Belfast mumbles. "Is he usually like this?"

"He's pretty exuberant, but never have I seen him like this if we end up defeated." Yorktown says. "He's usually making sure everyone's alright... Maybe he's that intent on beginning research to outsmart the enemy?"

"Well, I guess we shall return to what we were doing before?" Newcastle asks. "Nobody seems to be injured."

"I'm going to follow master and see what he's up to." Dido says as she rushes off to try and find the commander while the other maids resume their normal duties, leaving the Eagle Union girls to relax in the common room.

"There was no way anyone could have stood against that barrage. If any one of us tried, we would be grinded into scrap metal." Enterprise says. "And speaking of the commander... Hasn't anyone noticed something about him?"

"What exactly?" Hornet asks.

"Before that whole accident and after, how hard he works." Enterprise replies. "There's never a day when he's not in his office for hours on end, even after he's finished all of his documents."

"He doesn't even join Arizona in the entertainment room anymore." Pennsylvania says. "That I've started to notice."

"I think what he really needs is some time to truly relax, not like that month of sick leave he got. He was on edge almost the whole time." Lexington says. "He's even told me himself, he's always itching for battle."

"But how do we do that? He's our commander, we can't simply say that." Saratoga asks.

"Well, that's what we're gonna have to find out." Arizona replies. "We have to find a way to get him to relax or he's going to continue to bury himself in work and then it's going to be that month all over again."

"Well, let's try not to worry about that right now." Enterprise says. "We don't really have any means, and he hasn't done anything rash, but do keep it in the back of your head." And with that the girls disperse to do their own thing.
