This bonus oneshot takes place sometime after the Azur Lane is reunited and a few days before the head maids have to go home.
"I'm still in disbelief that you managed to create this monster of a gun." Bismarck says as she and the Sakura Empire girls look at the railgun that Yorktown was using.
"This really is the endgame weapon." Commander Tran chuckles. "But since the war is over, there's not really much use for it, unless you want to give it a test fire."
"We would love to." Mikasa says. "Why don't we round up the other girls and have them try and shoot this beast?"
"Let's do just that." Commander Tran replies. "Fair warning, this thing has a ton of recoil and gets super hot super fast so you might wanna make sure you're wearing gloves." And with that the girls find themselves at the target range with earmuffs, the railgun and a series of objects to shoot, ranging from various heavy duty archery targets, to watermelons, and a whole bunch of other things that the girls thought would look cool if they were shot with the railgun.
"Can you even shoot that thing?" Akagi asks.
"I doubt it, but I guess I can give it a shot." Commander Tran replies. "But who wants to shoot this first?" Almost everyone wants to shoot it, and the order is settled through rock-paper-scissors, with Yorktown opting out as she has already fired the railgun before.
"Alright, let's see just how much of a kick this thing has." Pennsylvania chuckles as she takes aim at one of the heavy duty archery targets and lets the gauge reach 100. "Make sure your earmuffs are in, and firing!" She calls out as she fires, and the battleship just manages to avoid falling over as the bullet drives deep into the archery target before exploding, sending it's insides everywhere.
"Oh I got fabric in my mouth!" Enterprise mumbles as she spits it out. Bismarck is next up to fire the gun, and she takes aim at a block of pure silver.
"I bet you this is going to be completely obliterated." Bismarck chuckles. "Either that or this is going to be one hell of a lightshow." And with that Bismarck fires. The bullet fails to completely go through the block of silver, but the sparks that it puts off when the round explode light up the whole range.
"Whoa!" Hornet says.
"Holy smokes!" Bismarck says in shock. "Alright commander, you're up."
"I'm a little worried about this." Commander Tran chuckles awkwardly as he takes aim at a watermelon. "Alright taking aim... And firing!" When the commander fires though, he's sent flying back from the sheer recoil of the railgun, and the railgun flies back, leaving a big dent in the wall, and Yorktown quickly catches the commander, breaking his fall.
"Commander! Are you okay?!" Akagi asks.
"...Never been better! Ow..." Commander Tran replies, holding his shoulder. "There's a reason why I gave it to Yorktown... Gah..."
"I think he might need medical attention." Kaga says.
"No no, I'm fine... Just give me a few minutes and I'll be back up in no time." Commander Tran replies. He does get back up after ten minutes, but the girls look at him before looking at the dent the gun made when it hit the wall.
"We may have to fix that too." Belfast says.
"We'll cover that another time." Commander Tran replies. "You girls can go ahead and continue."
"Alright." Dido and Newcastle say as the girls continue on with getting a shot with the railgun while the commander makes sure he hasn't dislocated his shoulder.
