A few days had passed since the negotiations, and after going under extensive repairs Bismarck could be found in the common room talking with Commander Tran about history stuff while Akagi and Kaga made amends with Enterprise and Yorktown.
"So you're telling me you squared off with the entire Royal Navy at once?!" Commander Tran asks in disbelief. "As much as your prowess is famed, it's only going to last so long against an onslaught of shells, especially coming from giant cannons."
"You got that part right." Bismarck replies sheepishly. "By sheer luck one of our U boats found me and towed me all the way back to Brest for repairs. For a little girl like her she is a real powerhouse!"
"I hope you don't have any hard feelings about me sinking you." Enterprise says to Akagi.
"Eh, the past is the past." Akagi replies. "Plus I heard you were the only carrier left to fight us, and you still won."
"I'm not called the grey ghost for nothing I guess." Enterprise chuckles as she notices Commander Tran walk into his office. "Give me one second."
"Does he usually walk off like that?" Bismarck asks Enterprise.
"If he's especially busy then yes, but now? I'm not sure. That's why I'm checking up on him." Enterprise replies as she peeks into the commander's office where Commander Tran is busy doing some last minute sorting through various documents before returning to the common room.
"He's not fretting over stuff again is he?" Bismarck asks worriedly.
"I don't think I'll ever forget that face..." Kaga adds. "It was almost like he was dead inside."
"Seems like he was just doing some last minute sorting." Enterprise replies. "Nothing too much to worry about- oh hey Dido. What are you doing?"
"Going to see the master." Dido says.
"Might wanna do that later, he's busy right now." Enterprise replies.
"But I'm sure he could use a hand if you're not going to help." Dido says as she makes her way to the commander's office leaving the grey ghost dumbfounded for a few seconds before she continues talking with Akagi and Kaga.
"Say Bismarck, where's Mikasa?" Enterprise asks.
"She's going under more repairs. That railgun of yours did a huge number." Bismarck replies. With nothing much to do the Ironblood leader simply leans back and admires the view of the ocean from the windows until she hears a conversation that's increasing in volume, and it's not from the carriers.
"Dido... You're kinda scaring me..."
"Master, you haven't been giving me any attention... Please don't tell me you're going to abandon me master! Please! Tell me you won't abandon me! I don't want to feel useless!"
"Dido of course you're not useless! Now can you please let go of my arm?"
"I don't believe you master! You've been ignoring me for so long! I... I can't take it anymore! Please! Master!"
"GAH! DIDO WHAT IN THE-" The conversation sharply cuts off and a crashing noise is heard a few seconds afterwards.
"What in the name of Ironblood just happened?!" Bismarck asks as she and the three carriers rush to the commander's office with Belfast not too far behind them.
"Master?! Did something happen?!" Belfast asks as she throws the office door open to find Dido on top of Commander Tran with tears in her eyes.
"Master... Please... Tell me you love me..." Dido pleads.
"Dido... Can you please get off the commander?" Belfast asks with a deadpan stare. "He has not been ignoring you. He's just too busy." And with that Dido slowly gets back on her feet and the commander struggles for a few seconds before he gets back up as well. "I'm sorry master..."
"It's alright." Commander Tran mumbles as he dusts himself off.
