The End of An Era

Filming Starts

It's the next day. It's also the first day of filming. Your alarm went off and you got out of bed. You went to the bathroom and did your morning routine. Unlike the Scorch Trials, you have to be there at the very beginning, not halfway through.

Someone knocked on your door. You opened the door and saw Dylan.

"Hey Dyl." you said.

"Hey. I need your help with waking Thomas up." he said.

"What? Why? Shouldn't he be up already?" you questioned.

"Yeah. I tried calling and texting him. I also called his room phone and he's still not answering." Dylan explained.

"I got this." you said.

You pulled out your phone and tapped on Thomas's contact.

Your phone rang three times. Finally, he picked up. "Hey, love." Thomas said, sounding groggy.

"Hey. Filming starts today. Get up and come down for breakfast. Or else, you won't see me until you and Dylan come into the train car." you said.

"Oh shoot. My alarm didn't go off. I'll be right there." he said.

"Well, that got him up. Come on, let's go have breakfast." you said.

"I'm with you there." Dylan said.

Almost everyone was already at the buffet. You and Dylan got in line to get food. Surprisingly, they had American breakfast food. You got waffles, some bacon, and a cup of water. You and Dylan sat with Rosa, Will, and Kat.

"Y/n, please tell me that you woke Thomas up." Will said.

"Already took care of it. I threatened him by saying that if he doesn't come down and eat, he won't see me until he comes into the train car." you said, while cutting your waffles.

"Nice tactic." Rosa said, adding more creamer to her coffee.

The others came down for breakfast. When everyone was finished, you all headed to the set.

Wes showed you guys the land and the train. It's when Thomas and the others try to Minho, Kelsey, and the others kids, but fail. Everyone got into costume and makeup, and was looking over their scripts. When the crew was ready, Wes called action and everyone was now in character. All of the other kids in the train cars were very good at being damsels in destress. All the kids were the same costume and wore handcuffs attached to the ceiling. Now, on to the scene where Thomas and Newt come into the train car.

Thomas and Newt enter the train car full of kids. Thomas spots Sonya and Aris in the front.

Thomas: (Comes beside them) Aris! Are you guys okay?

Sonya: Yeah. We're fine.

(Thomas and Newt walk down the aisle, assuring the kids that they were okay. Harriet gives Aris and Sonya a hug)

Kelsey: Guys?

Newt: (kneeling down beside her and hugs her tight) Kelsey! Are you alright? We've been so worried.

Kelsey: Yeah. I'm better now that you're here.

Thomas: Hey Newt. He's not here. (They share a disappointed look) Well, let's get you out of these. (grabbing a tool to unlock Kelsey's handcuffs. Once she is free, she hugs Thomas and Newt)

"Cut!" Wes called.

Everyone came out of character and cheered. The first scene is done. They filmed Vince giving a speech to the kids, then where Sonya, Aris, and Kelsey tell the others about their time with WICKED and that Minho was on the train.

You guys got a few hour break because the next two scenes take place at night. Then, the first day of filming ended. Tomorrow, they're gonna film Minho's Glade simulation and the Crank Tunnel.
