Dexter's Birthday

Filming is going by a lot faster than the last one. You guys are getting close to the part where Gally comes back. It's going to be the ultimate mic drop/plot twist.

It's now Tuesday, June 23rd, which means that tomorrow is Dexter's birthday!

You all met up in Ki Hong's room to discuss a surprise for him. When everyone was there, you guys started the discussion.

"I'll let you guys have the day off." Wes said.

"There's a laser tag place that's not too far from the hotel. There is also a sit down restaurant a block away, so that way we can have eat lunch and cake." Dylan said.

Everything is falling into place.

"At breakfast, maybe we can get his favorite breakfast foods and put a candle on top? We all need to make sure that we're down there before he is." Rosa suggested.

"I have another idea. At my theatre camp, we had some kids with birthdays. Can I teach you guys the song and we can sing it to Dexter at breakfast?" you offered.

"How does it go?" Kat asked.

"Let me pull up the video from camp and show you guys." you said, pulling out your phone.

You went to the camp's Instagram page and scrolled through the posts. You found the video of the birthday song, turned up the volume, and the song played.

Everyone seemed to like it so much that they were laughing.

"Yeah. That's good. We should do that for Dexter." Will said.

Kat ordered a cake, and Dylan and Jacob made the reservations at the laser tag place. The entire discussion probably lasted for about an hour before everything was set in stone.

It's now the next morning. You heard a specific knock on your door. You opened it and saw Thomas and Shai Lun.

"Ready?" you whispered.

They nodded in response. All three of you went down to the buffet to get the surprise ready.

                               Dexter's POV
My alarm woke me up at 9:00am. I got up and got ready for the day. I did my usual Instagram story morning video. I mentioned that it was my birthday today. I left my room to see if the others were up or ready for breakfast.

I went to Dylan's room and knocked. No answer.

I moved onto Thomas's room and knocked. No answer either.

'This is getting annoying.' I thought.

I move onto y/n's room and knocked. Once again, no answer.

I decided to text Wes. He responded, saying that they're all at breakfast. I got in the elevator and went downstairs. The minute I walked over to them, they all got up and screamed "SURPRISE!"

"Birthday breakfast for one, sir." y/n said, guiding me to a single table.

Rosa and Kat gave me a plate with my favorite breakfast. Nathalie stuck a candle in the whipped cream on the pancakes and lit it up. They crowded around me and sang a different birthday song.

The song ended and they clapped. I blew out the candle and enjoyed breakfast with my Maze Runner family. After breakfast ended, they took me to a laser tag place. We played three rounds, then went to lunch and had cake.
