The End of An Era

Letters

It's now the beginning of August. You have about four more weeks of summer freedom. Some of the cast members have been over dramatic about their little Kelsey starting college.

The movie is so close to being finished. It's weird because last year, it took all summer to film the second movie. This year, it only took a little over two months. Time just flies by. You and Thomas have been spending a lot of time together ever since the death scenes. You both have been having meals together, going to the Starbucks, and hanging out at the pool.

You and Thomas were eating dinner. You were picking at your food and you were in your world.

"You know, there's one good thing that comes out of dying. We get to spend one-on-one time with each other." Thomas said.

You didn't say anything.

"Love? Y/n? Hello, earth to my girlfriend." he said, snapping his fingers.

"Huh? Sorry, I was just thinking." you answered.

"About what?" Thomas questioned.

"The movie and the series is coming to an end, college is right around the corner, etc." you explained.

Everyone came back from filming and went to Dylan's room. They gave you guys an update on what has happened in the movie. Teresa makes the cure with Thomas's blood; however, Janson wants it all to himself. That isn't until Teresa hits him upside the head with a giant flask. Kaya went on nonstop about how scared she was to hit Aidan, so Wes let her hit him with the glass first to make her feel more comfortable.

Thomas and Janson have a fist fight, until the outsiders hit the WICKED building with explosives. Thomas ends up getting shot in the stomach by Janson, then they're trapped in a lab. The Cranks break free and feed on Janson as Thomas and Teresa make their escape. They go onto the roof just as the berg comes in. Minho and Vince pull Thomas in, but Teresa falls to her death as the building collapses.

The next day, Wes is planning on doing the final scenes of the Death Cure. The Safe Haven! He also mentioned that he wants the cast to do something with each other. You all pulled a slip of paper out of a box. They had the names of everyone in the cast. Whoever you get, you have to write a letter to that person. When they finish filming the Safe Haven scenes, everyone will read their letters to each other as a way of saying good job or farewell.

You saw that you got Wes. You got out your laptop and started typing. You're putting your heart and soul into this letter. Your text tone went off. It was Thomas

He said: "Can you come to my room? I need your help with something."

You left your room. You knocked on his door and he lets you in.

"What do you need help with?" you asked.

"Wes asked me to write Newt's letter myself. He also wants me to be behind the camera and read it out loud." Thomas explained.

"That doesn't seem too hard." you said.

"Easy for you to say. I don't know what to write." he said with frustration in his voice.

"Diagnosis: Writer's block. Don't worry, your girlfriend is here to help." you said, wrapping an arm around his neck.

After only half an hour, you helped him write a believable letter that it looks like something that Newt would say to Thomas. It's going to be so cool to hear it onscreen.
