Don't Lie To Me

After telling you that, Thomas gave you an update on Isabella. You were shocked that he kept that from you for months, but he didn't want you to worry with other things going on. You both said good night to each other, then you went back to your room. You slept in peace by thinking of what Thomas told you about not letting Wes down.

It's now morning. It's the day to film the scene where Newt is infected and to finish up Kelsey's capture. You know that it's gonna be difficult seeing Thomas (Newt) with Crank veins on his arm.

It's also gonna be hard doing the capture scene because you're worried that it'll bring back more memories of the Isabella incident from last summer.

You saw Wes by a camera, polishing the lens. You felt that it was the right time to talk to him. Here goes nothing.

"Hey Wes." you said to get his attention.

"Hey Kelsey. Are you ready for today?" he asked.

"Um. I need to talk to you about something." you said.

That shifted his focus away from the camera. "Sure. What's up?" Wes said.

"I'm worried about the capture scene. I know that it's just acting, but I'm afraid that it'll bring back memories from when Isabella...you know?" you explained.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't even think about that. I'm glad that you brought it to my attention." he said.

"I just didn't want to let you down or have you get mad at me." you explained.

Wes put his hands on your shoulders.

"Y/n, listen to me. You could never let me down. I need to you hear that. I would never get mad at you because you're uncomfortable. Okay?" Wes said.

You smiled and gave him a hug. You were thankful that he understood. Then, let go from the hug.

"I'm so proud of you." Wes said, placing a hand on your shoulder.

"Wes. We gotta get started." a cameraman said.

"Alright. Everyone on set, please. Action!" Wes called out.

You stood behind the camera with Wes and watched your friends and boyfriend act.

Thomas: No. There's gotta be another way.

Gally: Like what? You've seen the building. She is our only way in.

Thomas: You really think she's gonna help us?

Gally: I don't plan on asking for her permission.

Brenda: Am I still missing something here? This is the same girl who betrayed us, correct?

Gally: I like her. (pointing to Brenda)

Brenda: (to Thomas) What's going on?

Newt: What, are you afraid your little girlfriend's gonna hurt? Hmm? This is obviously never been just about rescuing Minho and Kelsey, is it?

Thomas: (barely audible) Newt, what are you talking about?

Newt: (really fast and gets in Thomas's face) Teresa. She's the only reason that Minho and Kelsey are even missing in the first place. Now, we finally have an opportunity to get them back. And what? You don't want to because of her. Because deep down, you still care about her, don't you? Just admit it.

Thomas: Newt, I...

Newt: (pushes Thomas against the wall) DON'T LIE TO ME! DON'T. LIE. TO ME! (snaps out of his rage) I'm sorry. (looks at the others) I'm sorry. (walks out, while holding his arm)

"Cut!" Wes called out.

Tears were rolling down your face. Just as you predicted, too painful. You know that you'll cry a lot more when it's edited together. The camera crew went outside to film where Newt shows Thomas that he's infected and tells him that Minho and Kelsey are the priority.
