Luke sits cross-legged, not seeming to care about the fans outside anymore and not having a damn about sitting on the lobby floor. He puts all his attention onto me, coughing and giving me a slight smile.
"Lauren, don't let this change anything okay? It was dumb and stupid and it was awhile ago now." He breathes, starting to fiddle with his hands on his lap and I nod, encouraging him to go on.
"Well, at the beginning of the tour, which was about... 9 months ago?" He stops, looking about now getting wary of his surroundings. "I was dating this girl called Emily, she's from Sydney and she decided to join me on the tour for the first couple of months. I really liked her, you know, she was amazing but obviously like most girls One Direction got to her head. I thought it was only a fixation but she was going behind my back with Harry."
He looks down at his hands, removing and replacing the bands on his wrists. I instantly feel sorry for him, I place my hand onto his knee gently and squeeze it trying to get him to look back up at me.
"We had been dating for 6 months and she does this to me. I can't really blame her, Harry lead her on, man he hated me," he laughs a little, placing his eyes back on to me. "He slept with her to get at me, I honestly don't know what he has against me."
"It's okay, Luke." I smile, standing up and putting my hand out to pull him up with me. I look up at him, my usual eye level reaches his chest and my height stops just at his shoulders.
"Just be careful with him, Lauren," his look is stern on me, warning me carefully. "I don't want him to use you too."
"Where's Emily now?" I speak up, my curiosity gets the better of me and I stand there still looking up at him. Luke turns around walking to the stairs instead of the lift and I follow like a lost puppy. I shouldn't of been expecting an answer.
I pick myself back up, forgetting I had asked and climb the stairs after Luke.
"Where are you going?" I ask, pleading to know.
He keeps walking, the tension burning between us but I stay silent, knowing I have got more than I should've out of him. He runs a hand through his hair, the other sliding up the banister and pushing the door on our floor open.
"What are you doing with him?" The strong British accent roars from the other side of the hall instantly and I mentally roll my eyes.
I walk behind Luke, slightly scared of Harry who is making his way towards me.
"Calm it, she was with Ashton." Luke defends me, putting his hands up in defence and protection just in front of Harry's torso.
"I was looking for you, Lauren," Harry says, dramatically calming down. "Do you want to hang out?"
Luke looks at me with sympathetic eyes, telling me not to go. I look at Harry who is smiling shyly with his hands in his pockets.
"Uh, sure," I look away, turning away from Luke and walking down the hall with Harry. "Where to?"
I feel bad, I do, but I won't see Harry after today and I'll see Luke whenever I want. I should make the most of what I have.
"I was thinking we could just hang in my room?" He says but it ends up being more of a question. After everything Luke has told me today the nerves overpower me.
"Uh," I pause looking up him and admiring his long curls and nod at him. "Why not."
I don't know what I'm doing, I won't let him go that far. I have that much respect for myself and I don't want anymore issues with my brother. We walked down to Harry's hotel room in silence, tension is obviously there due to Luke and I can feel it rising.
