Crash! Izuku knocked into someone on their way out. He didn't recognize the person at first, but after he got back up, he saw a familiar suit of red, yellow, white, and blue.
"I'm sorry, are you alright?" said a low, loud voice from above him. All Might looked down at Izuku, suddenly having a flashback.
Flashback
"W-wait!" A helpless Izuku held out his arm. "Is there any way I can become a hero, even without a quirk?"
All Might turned around. "I'm sorry, but a quirkless hero is simply unheard of. I didn't mean to crush your dreams, kid." He then took flight, leaving Deku on the roof alone.
Flashback end
All Might's eyes widened as he realized the villain standing before him was the sad, lonely child who asked him that question. "What have I done?" He thought, quickly snapping back to reality and realizing he had a real villain standing in front of him, and not the same helpless boy.
"Hey, who are you?" All Might asled Deku, hoping to stall so that the other teachers could arrive.
"Why should it matter?" replied Deku. "I'm just a quirkless nobody, don't you remember?"
He did remember, and he regretted what he said that day on the roof, but it was clear that there was nothing stopping him. Still, he said, barely above a whisper,
"M-midoriya?"
