Sokka's POV - Seven years after the Prologue

"What? She can't visit tomorrow?" I sighed, tapping my finger on the wooden desk.

Suki agreed to visit the South Pole for the Glacier Spirits festival, but apparently, her warrior errands are a lot more important than me and the festival.

I looked over the window. The people have been preparing for this grand festival for weeks, and it's only five days away.

I was so excited to spend this event with Suki but I guess she couldn't care less. It was just like the time she didn't come to my birthday, to our get-together, and everything else.

I mumbled, "Suki has never cared about me or these events. She's always so busy with her kiyoshi-duties."

I took out a paper and an ink-pen. "I'm sorry but this seems like the only way." I muttered to myself, "It's over."

The letter:
My dearest Suki,

It's sad to see that you can't visit me this year again. How many times do I have to wait until you finally start caring? I feel hurt. I think I need to distance myself away from you until I feel better. I'll contact you again once I think I can face you. I'm sorry, but it's over between us. I hope you'll realize how important you were to me, but it hurts me to no end that you couldn't come to any of my important events.

Sincerely, Sokka

I reluctantly rolled the piece of paper. "I can't believe I'm writing this to Suki." I sighed.

I went over to Hawky, my messenger hawk, and tied it to his leg. "Bring this to Suki."

I took Hawky outside and let him go. His wings spread as he flew upwards.

I watched the bird fly away and entered my small cabin. It's been eight years since the war ended, and I've never seen the gaang since I left Cranefish island seven years ago.

I tossed myself onto my small wooden bed. I always thought living alone would be great. "There's no Katara to scold me, no Aang to annoy me and no Zuko to disturb me." I mumbled.

"I miss them all so much." I thought to myself.

I walked towards the table where a picture of the gaang sat. I picked up the framed photo and observed each member of our crew. It's been so long but I will never forget the memories I've made with them.

I stared blankly at the photo until I saw Toph. "Toph! Of course, how could I have forgotten her?" I chuckled, "We had so much fun together. We were best buds!"

I smiled, remembering the times I spent with Toph and the gaang. I went back to my bed and stared at the ceiling.

That's when an idea hit me. "Wait, why don't I just invite them over?"

I laughed, "Why couldn't I think of this earlier?" I grabbed the same ink-pen I had used earlier and a bunch of papers.

"Time to start writing!" I exclaimed gleefully. I started writing individual letters to each member of the crew.

"Finally! Writing four letters definitely hurt my hand." I complained.

I walked to my father's office and asked if I could borrow a messenger hawk. He accepted and I tied the four letters to the hawk's leg. I instructed the hawk to give it to each member. When I finished, the hawk flew up and disappeared into the beautiful sky.

"It's going to be a great festival!" I exclaimed with joy.
