Chapter 19: Christmas And Sub-prefects

Many days had passed. Reign's mess in the dungeon wasn't solved yet. Their not like muggles who have CCTVs on their rooms. But Reign forgot all about that, because tomorrow is the first day of the holidays. Reign never hesitated to stay at Hogwarts, the Larsons are going to mistreat her again if she comes back. It's better if they don't know about the holidays. The Larsons are rude to wizards, they call them weirdos.

But one thing is also making Reign sad, Vell is not staying for the holidays. She and her sister and brother are going back to their house. Serinna is staying in the school, just like Amyssa and Aiden. They  a lot of things around the castle while Vell was gone. Vell was also sending them mail, writing the two chapters she had finished reading.

Reign: Hey, Serinna. Look! Vell sent a message!

Serinna and Reign read the letter together and found out that the two wizards was Neville Longbottom and the wizard that Vell always admired, Severus Snape. Vell even wrote a mini vocabulary in it to make sure all their questions will be answered.

The Holidays were great, except Aina and her elder sister Emma was staying. Investigating about the broken vase. They were never going to stop. But when they always fight with Reign, Amyssa and Aiden are always there to defend her.

More days had passed and it was already Christmas. Serinna and Reign walked excitedly to the Great Hall. Only a few students were staying. The Gryffindor table looks like it was washed out. But there were still many foods. They both sat down and started munching. Fat roasted turkeys, roast and boiled potatos, fat chipolatas, buttered peas, thick rich gravy, cranberry sauce, and wizard crackers are all around the table.

Serinna: Too bad Vell isn't here.

Reign: Yeah.

They went back to the common room and sat on the couch. They didn't realized they had fallen asleep. Aiden and Amyssa woke Serinna up and pointed her the presents under the christmas tree. Serinna shaked Reign so hard and woke up.

Serinna: Happy Christmas, Reign!

Reign: Same for you.

Serinna: Come on there are loads of presents here. You have present too.

Reign's eyes widened. Stood up and spotted many parcels under the tree.

Reign: For me? I have presents?

Serinna: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Enough of that, start opening now!

Reign took the red parcel. It was a present from Mrs. Epimetheus. Serinna peeked and saw it.

Serinna: Uh-oh. I think that's a coat. From my mother, eh?

Reign nodded. She opened it and Serinna was right. It contained a red knitted coat. She unfolded it and there was a letter R on its left chest knitted in gold.

Serinna: Good for you. You got red, I have yellow.

Serinna's coat was yellow, there's a letter S on the left chest knitted in black.

Serinna: Amyssa and Aiden received some coat too. Amyssa got Pink and Aiden got Green.

Serinna walked closer to Reign to examine her coat. She groaned.

Serinna: Mum always make more effort when it's for an important person. Ours don't change color at all.

Reign next opened the brown parcel.

It was from Hagrid. Although, Hagrid spelled Reign's name wrong. She opened it and inside it was a pair of rabbit-skin boots.
