Chapter 22: The House Cup

Exams had started. Vell was studying really hard. Reign and Serinna doesn't really care. Their first exam was Transfiguration. McGonagall made them use her quills that are anti-cheating. Well, somehow, Salford Borough cheated and he's paper got crumpled and thrown outside the window.

Second was History of Magic. Reign and Serinna was falling asleep in the exam. Good thing Vell had kicked their tables to wake them up before Professor Binns spots them. Third was Herbology. It wasn't that hard for the three. But it was the worst for Turkeya Barnes and Jannah Moccards (since the two had a really terrible start). Fourth was Charms. Vell will definitely get high scores since Professor Flitwick likes her.

Fifth was Defence Against the Dark Arts. Reign was the first one to finish the test since she got advanced lectures with Professor Carrow. Sixth was Astronomy. Serinna had a hard time naming stars while Vell just writes away since almost all of her Aunts' and Uncles' names where from stars.

Seventh was Potions. This is Vell's specialty. She memorized all the ingredients and steps. Reign and Serinna bets that Vell well perfect the test. There were three days before releasing the results. They kept eating sweets and listening to Vell who is storytelling during those days.

Finally, they received their marks from the exams during breakfast.

Reign: What is it Serinna?

Vell: How many did you get?

Serinna: Two Ps and five Fs. Two additives.......

Reign wasn't shock, she instead comforted Serinna by patting her at the back. Vell was chukling. Reign roamed around to check the favorites of the professors. In Astronomy, Clarion, Vell, Barrington, and Jea Nating. In Charms, Vell, Dane, and Kate Venize. In Defence Against The Dark Arts, Reign, Barrington, Clarion, and Alistair Linux. In Herbology, Vell, Flordeliza Olivecat, and Roanna Boliver. In History of Magic, Vell, Barrington, Jhean Villarin, and Jenny Garbonn.

At dinner, McGonagall finally announced to them,

Professor McGonagall:  This is the last day of your classes. Your classes had come to an end. You can spend your last day wherever you want—as long as not in the Forbidden Forest nor the Black Lake. And in dinner you should attend, it is when the house poin of the House Cup will be announcedEnjoy your last day!

McGonagall then sits down and starts to talk with other professors.

Reign, Vell, and Serinna went down to Hogsmeade to buy some colored parchments, colored inks, and sweets from Honeydukes to give to each of their batch as remembrance. They added colored names on the front of the card. They gave Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, and Gryffindors.

Vell also spent her savings to give their fellow Gryffindors free Ice Creams.

Professor McGonagall: Ehm! May I have your attention?

The crowd became silent.

Professor McGonagall: I will now announce the ranks of the Houses and give the Cup to the winner. Fourth—Slytherin House!...... With seven hundred and ten points.

Reign could here the Slytherins groan and sigh really deep.

Professor McGonagall: Third—Ravenclaw House!....... With seven hundred and ninety-four.

Everyone except the Slytherins clapped for Ravenclaws.

Professor McGonagall: Second—Hufflepuff House!........ With eight hundred and six points.

On the Gryffindor table, Vell whispered happily to Reign and Serinna,

Vell: It means we're first!

Professor McGonagall: And the House Cup winner—Gryffindor House!....... With eight hundred and sixty-five!

All students cheered for Gryffindor. Almost all of them were shouting 'Roses' again and again which made the Slytherins furious. They all threw their hats up and shouted positive words.

Serinna: Reign! Vell! We should enjoy our last sleep here, it's already bye-bye for tomorrow. We have to enjoy our comfy bed for the last time in this term.

Vell and Reign hopped into their beds and fell asleep.
