Chapter 12: Crimes Of A Slytherin

She just looked steadily in the ceiling. It was quiet. Nobody was inside the room. Just herself and the beds. It's not cold or hot, it's just she can't understand the weather. Silence broke when someone entered the room.

Professor McGonagall: Roses, you are dismissed from the clinic now. I believe you had a hard time here. All alone, so I assigned Qamikaze and Epimetheus to accompany you. But it seems that it went wrong. Anyway, you can go now to the lair. I heard you named the room yourself. Great name though.

Reign: Thanks, Professor. Is it already safe in the lair?

Professor McGonagall: Sure, the mirror was removed from the room. Qamikaze just figured out that it was The Mirror Of Erised.

Reign: Well, I still don't quite understand. Why did it break, Professor?

Professor McGonagall: Well, the Mirror Of Erised shows the object that one desires the most. Someone in the lair could have looked at itself and the mirror started to break. It may seem like that person could probably desire separation of someone or something.

Reign: Who could that be, Professor?

Professor McGonagall: Well, I don't know. Perhaps, you can make it as your next mission. I've heard you and the others were investigating about the Gryffindor Tower.

Reign: We haven't finished the investigation yet. And we can't just leave it and jump into another.

Professor McGonagall: Roses, I know your a brilliant child just like your mother, you can solve this. And you should. I'll be going now.

Professor McGonagall left the room with Madam Pomfrey. Serinna, Vell, and Reign are the only ones inside the room.

Vell: Are you alright, Reign?

Reign: Never better, though. Serinna, how did you get out of the lair without Mr. Filch catching you?

Serinna: I snuck out with Aiden helping me to get through. He was almost caught by a prefect of Ravenclaw.

Reign: How did you follow Barrington?

Serinna: I didn't follow him. I was just waiting for you to show up in the Stairwell but you didn't so ran down to the Great Hall with noisy stomps.

Vell: Maybe that's what made Barrington feel something.

Serinna: And then I walk inside without hanging back. And then-

Vell: Barrington saw her.

Reign: Vell, how did you know?

Serinna: She was there too.

Vell: At the stairwell, getting ready the Leg-locker Curse.

Reign stood up with shock.

Reign: A curse?!! Since when did you start using curses??!!!

Vell: I haven't used it yet! Just in case.

Reign sat back down.

Serinna: Let's go back to the lair.

Reign and Vell stood up and left the room with Serinna. They headed to the lair.

IN THE LAIR

As soon as they entered the room, all of the attention was given to Reign. Everyone ran up to her and started asking questions.

Jannah: Reign! How are you?!
Turkeya: Reign! You ok now?!
Shyreen: Reign! Does it still hurt?!
Rheannica: Reign! Don't worry now the mirror is gone!!!
