Chapter 20: Silver Thieves

Reign, Vell, and Serinna waited for a while, hiding in a pillar. A shadow started to appear in the Entrance Hall. Their heart is beating fast. A boy showed up, seemed to be interested in the silver. He took it, lifted it up, and hesitated to bring it or not.

Vell: I think he knows how to identify a real silver stone.

Vell whispered. Reign whispered back.

Reign: Let's watch, then make a move. We'll restraint him and use the Obscuro charm on him.

Vell nodded. They watch him move. He finally placed the stone in his bag. Serinna saw glimpses of silver things inside the bag. They were already going to restraint him when Jamil and Denbright came to the door making a lot of noise.

Panic filled the place as the culprit duels with Jamil. Hitting him with the forgetting spell. Jamil kept on blocking it. No minute later, Renshaw and Clarion came in, joining the duel. Reign thought, three against one, the culprit can't fight, unless he has a sidekick, and he doesn't.

He zapped Denbright and Renshaw  the Stupefy spell, same for Clarion. Again, he was only duelling to Jamil. Reign showed up and joined, using the disarming spell. But the boy was so quick. He had block the spells from Reign too. He zapped the forgetting spell again but was blocked by Reign.

The culprit doesn't stop until bringing one of them down. Finally, he zapped the Stupefy spell on Jamil. He was thrown backwards and landed on the floor hard. Now, Reign and the boy was duelling. She can't recognize him, he was wearing a mask. He shot the disarming spell, Reign blocked it.

Minutes later, Serinna joined. Serinna shot the levitating charm on the bag and let it flew directly to Vell.

Serinna: Vell! Run! Go to Professor McGonagall! Now!

Vell ran quickly out of the hall and straight to McGonagall's office. The duel was hard. It wasn't Reign's first, Serinna and Vell had been practicing her. The boy shot the petrifying spell on Serinna, eventually, she had blocked it. Minutes later before the duel ended, he zapped the forgetting spell.

The others recovered in time to watch the duel end. Renshaw helped Jamil stand up while Denbright help Clarion.

Serinna: Expelliarmus!

Reign: Stupefy!

The boy stumbled back to the Great Hall. Reign followed him. She saw the boy ran to the wall as it opened and two figures pulled him inside before closing.

The next day, they, together, reported to Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall: Have you found out who is he?

Briella Denbright: No......

Professor McGonagall: That's all right. For now, you all need to go to the Hospital Wing. I reward each of you fifty points for doing your very best. Who had this idea?

Ayla Renshaw: Professor, we split into our houses, which is four. Roses' group decided to place their stone at the Entrance Hall, where they duelled with the culprit.

Carles Orpington: The culprit was so clever and wise, Professor. He escaped so fast-

Reign: No, someone pulled him which helped him get away. I saw the wall in the Great Hall open and two persons took him.
