It's been almsot an hour and I'm still crying on my shower floor. I wasn't trying to over react, but yet again Ryder won't leave me alone. After about an hour, I finally left the bathroom. My mother sat in her chair, flipping through the pages of my copy of Gone With The Wind, my father was already fast asleep in bed, so was Kayden.

Deciding to ignore my mom's questioning gaze that laid upon me, I flipped open a picture book. Her facial expression turned to curiosity as she witnessed me look through the various pictures. Many of them were from last year, when my hair was longer, and I had dressed less conservatively then I do now. Most of them were with Ryder (the pictures that wern't at least half burned). I felt my stomach turn to knots, instantly shutting the book. This inspired my mother to look up from her book and attempt to start a conversation with me.

"Gary came by today. I wasn't gonna day nothin, you seemed pretty down in the dumps when you got home." My mother always had a comforting voice, now was no differnt, but it's like I couldn't feel it. The mention of Gary now had severe emotional consequences for me. I really fucked things up with him. But again. Why would he like someone like me? "Somethin going on between you two?"

I shook my head. "Do you want popcorn? It's Friday night?" As soon as I heard myself say "Friday", I sent myself into a silent panic. Now I know why Gary came by. To see if I changed my mind about the movie.

"Sure." My mother forced a smile, picking up the photo album while I was in the kitchen making our Friday night treat. I returned to the living room soon after. I found it weird she was looking at the photo album, and even more suprised she wasn't commenting on the damage. We sat in silence until about 10: 30. At that point, I'd had enough of the lingering, uncomfortable lack of communication happening, so I made my way to my bedroom. At about midnight, I was fast asleep.
