Being the schools bad girl had its perks along with its bad sides. For instance having people not mess with you because they're scared about what you could or would do. The downsides however were that teachers automatically assumed you were gonna try to cause trouble and also many people didn't talk to you and were afraid to become your friend, everyone but one boy.Na Jaemin. He was the sweetest most kindest person ever. To not just me but everybody.
I was counting down the moments until he figured out by everyone at school exactly who I was. Would he start avoiding me after finding out that I'm...'dangerous.'
If only people knew the real me, they would like me I know they would. This whole tough girl act it's all just a persona that I created for myself.
I walked to my locker where I saw Jaemin struggling with his own locker that was next to mine. I chuckled as I approached him earning his attention he laughed at himself.
"I've been here for a week but I still haven't gotten used to these lockers." He admitted sheepishly.
"Let me. Sometimes you just have to jiggle the lock and punch the middle and voila." I beamed as his locker successfully opened. He gasped in amazement.
"Woah." He said then closed his locker without getting anything out. I looked at him in shock.
"Didn't you need to open it?" I asked he nodded.
"Yeah but I wanna try now. You made it look simple and cool." He shrugged and did the same thing that I had done successfully opening it just as I had done only seconds ago.
He beamed with pride at his new ability that I had taught him and I couldn't help but smile at his excitement.
"I did it!" He gasped. "Thanks Emily that was amazing."
"Yeah no problem." I shrugged.
"Hey so I guess we have our homecoming football game coming up and I may be stupid to think that you're not out of my league but...I don't really know anyone so do you want to go with me? You can say no it's just my mom wants me to get out and experience-
"You're asking me out?" I asked.
"Uh....depends." He stated shyly.
"On?" I questioned with interest.
"Well wether you say yes or no." He shrugged his cheek tinting pink.
"That sounds...good." I agreed making him sigh in relief.
"Great. Well then I'll see you in bio." He smiled waving at me before he walked away his bright white hoodie that would reflect if it was dark. It was hard to miss.
Anyone wouldve thought it was silly to wear such a thing during a bright ass day especially since it's used for bikers who bike at night but I personally thought it was cute how he didn't care about everyone's opinion.
If only I could have that mentality too.
Later That Night
JaeminI lied awake on my back staring at my red ceiling that was caused by the LED lights around my room. I couldn't sleep my mind kept going back to Emily.
She was so sweet and especially pretty. I smiled to myself at the thought of us going to the homecoming game together. I should've asked her to the dance as well! It is after all the day after the game maybe I'll ask her during school.
I turned to my side reading my digital clock that was sat on my night stand. 11:05 pm.
I sat up deciding to go take a little stroll. Maybe that will help me sleep.
I made my way out of my house quietly making sure not to wake my parents. I didn't know exactly where I was going but I just walked wherever my legs turned.
It seemed weird I had a feeling in my stomach as if my legs had a mind of their own and were leading me somewhere but I didn't know where exactly.
That was until I ended up walked past an alley way hearing a familiar voice.
I walked back and peeked over my eyes widened when I noticed the familiar black jean jacket a girl. Emily, holding a gun!
I gasped as she let go of the poor guy who was previously pinned up against the wall.
I walked away in shock, everyone had been warning me about her but I didn't want to listen I thought it was unfair for me to base my opinion on her by what others were saying but I never would've thought they were right.
Emily
I noticed a reflecting shimmer I looked towards the end of the alley seeing a familiar white reflective hoodie.
Jaemin.
He must've seen me! God now he'll never want to talk to me. "Um hey Hanbin you take care of everything I'll be right back." I said not giving him any time to respond before I ran after Jaemin.
I spotted him at the cross walk waiting for the light to change. I rushed up to him and he spotted me.
"Go away."
"Let me explain."
"I've seen enough."
"You don't know the first thing about what you think you saw." I sighed running my hands through my hair in frustration. He didn't say anything.
"Fine."
"This." I held up the gun.
"Woah woah-
"It's a BB gun." I rolled my eyes cutting him off. "And it's not even loaded. I don't kill people I don't even hurt them unless they try to harm me but killing never." I said sternly. "That man he stole from my dad I was just getting back what he stole."
"What about what everyone says about you?" He spoke up.
"So you've heard...then whyd you ask me to the game still when you knew the warning people gave you?" I scoffed.
"Because. I'm not one to believe others without getting a first experience." He stated with a sigh.
"So I guess now you don't want to go to the game together."
"No." He stated I looked at my shoes in embarrassment. "Not just the game I want to go with you to the dance as well."
"What?" I looked at him in shock.
"I believe you. Just...keep that stuff away from me."
"Deal." I nodded in agreement.
"Good, now come I'll walk you home." He took my hand in his before we walked Into the moon lit night.
