I sighed in annoyance as I removed my brown contact lenses, my eyes red and stinging with tears revealing my natural grey eyes.
Hiding my eyes was always a hassle I hated the repetition of feeling as if my eyes were on fire every night.
But you know what they say, 'beauty hurts' and I'd do anything to get rid of my grey eyes, I even considered surgery to change my eye color but of course my mom shut that idea down.
Even though I am old enough to legally go through with the procedure without any parental permission I much rather not have my mom yell at me.
No one knew I had grey eyes except for my family not even my boyfriend of 3 years Jaehyun didn't know about my secret. I hid my eyes because well it was quite simple.
I hate my grey eyes. I rolled my eyes at my now natural reflection it felt as if the grey pools were mocking me knowing that there was no way I had of escaping them. They were permanent.
"Whatever." I scoffed to myself then shook my head. "What am I doing? Talking to my eyes? You've really lost it Honica."
The sound of my laptop ringing broke me out of my thoughts. I looked at my screen closing my eyes.
Jaehyun.
"Aish why now? I just took off my contacts." I groaned I voice called him back he picked up immediately.
"Baby? Why aren't you answering?" He asked his voice full of concern.
"Sorry love I'm just really really tired tonight I'm not really in the mood to FaceTime but we can talk." I suggested, I hated lying to him and yeah I know it seems a bit dramatic to be lying to hide my eyes but...this is important to me.
Plus Jaehyun fell in love with me and I've always worn brown contacts around him. If he sees that my brown eyes was just a costume he'll leave.
"Yeah of course. What's wrong?"
"What do you mean?" I asked hesitantly.
"Well you said you're really really tired." He chuckled.
"O-oh yeah well not much I just went out today with Liz so I'm quite tired you know how she can be dragging me left and right." I joked he laughed on the other end.
"Poor you, Liz can be annoying."
"Hey now, shes my best friend you can't call her annoying only I can." I joked making him chuckle.
"Oh my bad. So we still on for tomorrow?" He asked I hummed in response. "Great."
"Baby I'm gonna head to bed now but I'll see you tomorrow love you byee." I said and hung up.
