I watched my 'family' as they all ate breakfast together, the reason I put family in quotations was because they weren't my real family, we weren't related by blood. I was adopted and, honestly I never really thought about it until people constantly started reminding me at school when the found out.
I sighed unconsciously as I admired how they all interacted, now that was a real family. No one looked out of place but here I was feeling like a stranger in someone else's home.
It felt wrong sitting here with them eating breakfast, it felt as if I was intruding in family time. Family time that I didn't have a right to be at.
I stood up grabbing my school bag. "I'm not really hungry anymore. I'll just head to school."
"Oh wait for me." WinWin said quickly getting up following me out the door.
I really wanted to walk to school alone but I loved Winwin I mean he was my brother-by adoption but I grew up with him so we were really close.
Once we got to school WinWin and I went to our lockers which were right next to eachothers.
"Okay Dez so are you going to the graduation trip to Jeju Island?" My best friend Heya asked leaning against a locker.
"Don't know yet-
"Ahh, come on! We've been talking about it since the beginning of the year!" She whined bouncing up and down like a toddler.
"Shhh." I hushed her as I noticed people glancing at us.
"WinWin convince yourself sister to go!" Heya nudged WinWin.
"You should go you know mom and dad have been forcing us to pay the fee for it. Which we did." He pointed out.
"I never-
"Yup I did it in both of our behalf's." He shrugged I sighed.
"I guess I'm going then." I shrugged making Heya squeal.
"It'll be so much fun! Imagine all the fun we will have and all the pictures that will be Instagram worthy!" She sighed with content waving her hand to the side as if she was painting a picture.
"Alright let's just go to class, it's going to start soon." I chuckled. WinWin had walked away already to his class.
"Look guys it's Dez! Did you get adopted by a new family?" Kevin the schools biggest jerk laughed with his stupid little clutter of friends.
