THIRD PERSON.
"Sir, Mr O'Connor is here to see you," the woman at his door spoke to him as he nodded, waving her away as he finished up his phone call with his girlfriend. Owen was currently on his lunch break, but he decided to call his girlfriend who must've also been having her lunch at the time.
"I'll be there in a minute." he took his phone from his ear to see her nod before pausing when he turned back around to continue his conversation, "I have to go, baby, but make sure you don't stress yourself out too much, okay?"
He said it to her every time he spoke to her and had never once forgotten to do so. Brielle was one to study a lot and he noticed how she overworked herself on some nights, falling asleep just ten minutes into their video calls. As a reminder that he never got tired of saying or her hearing it, he felt good knowing she was probably sleeping better nowadays.
"Okay, dad." she mocked laughing as Owen released a chuckle in response. A sudden commotion made him turn in surprise and he found his secretary trying to stop Liam from entering Owen's office so suddenly. She was stuck in the doorway, arms out and clutching at the frame next to her.
"N-No, sir's not...ready...to see you," she spoke, struggling out as Owen simply arched a brow at them. Well, props to her because he's strong, he thought as he finished up his call and placed his phone down upon his desk, "Mr O'Connor, please."
"Hey, stop that!" Owen exclaimed and they both paused as Liam stopped speaking for one second and trying to move his way past her. She turned around to stare at her boss before fixing her skirt and moving out of the way, "Christ, Liam. It's always you, isn't it? Miss Stone, you may leave now for your break."
Miss Stone simply nodded and walked out of her boss' office, glaring holes into Liam as she went past him. She would've never thought working for Owen Bowers was going to include a six foot two man barging through the office block like a football player in the last few seconds of a game. If she's broken a few bones or ended up in hospital by the time her contract's finished, she wouldn't be surprised.
As Owen invited Liam to sit in a chair across from his desk, he rolled his eyes at his actions. Ever since Liam's started running his own company, he's been excited every day of the week since. Now he was living the life he's always wanted to live, he's been even more cheery than he was back in college.
"Will you stop harassing my staff? They earn their money by working for me not from being your punching bag." Liam shrugged with an excited look on his face. His eyes lit up with a gleam Owen was slightly concerned about, "anyway, why are you here? I don't want my office smelling of that cheap cologne you use."
The two were still at each other's throats, but that was just a rivalry the two could never forget about. They constantly bumped heads, but they worked well together and everyone in the industry knew that. Both of them were calculating and tactical when it came to their businesses, both studying at good colleges to get to where they were now.
"It's lovely to see you too, Bowers. Anyway, I have some good news. Now that I have a clear schedule for a while, I'm able to head home to Summer View for a few days. It'll be nice to see Mr Smith again," he spoke, his eyes lighting up even more as Owen turned from his window to look at him.
