"I could hear them all night," Jaxon groaned as we all sat at the breakfast table. It was apparent that there was some juicy gossip that needed to be spilled and it had something to do with...cough cough—Kelly and Darren—cough cough.
"Babe, please don't. At least while I'm eating breakfast," Nicole spoke up, groaning in the process as she bit into her cinnamon bun once again. I settled in my chair next to Owen, who stared tirelessly into his cup of coffee that morning before resting his head upon my shoulder. My hand reached up to brush through his messy locks of hair and he nuzzled even further into my neck.
"No, shush, this is important," Jaxon snapped, pacing around the table. Cassidy rolled her eyes before wiping the bead of sweat off her forehead. She had just been working out in the gym and recently joined us for breakfast.
"Jaxon, just shut up. It's not that big of a deal. Leave the two to sort out whatever it is they have to sort out. I thought we weren't getting involved—"
"What were they doing?" Michael interrupted as Cass slammed the bottle of water onto the table. We all jumped in surprise as she placed herself on the chair next to her cousin, groaning in the process. I simply shrugged and spoke up.
"I think it's a bit disrespectful talking about them like this behind their backs. Let's just leave it for when they get here. Anyway, they wouldn't have done anything. After all, this is Kelly we're talking about—oh God." I stopped when the realisation hit me. Kelly was the kind of girl who loved too much and got attached. Most of her relationships were based on no strings attached and when she loved Darren, he broke her completely. Why would she not try to make him happy if she loved him so much to put him first before herself? "this...is Kelly we're talking about. Of course, she would've done something. Something that she'll later regret."
"What though?" Jaxon immediately intercepts, "I think I would know seeing as I was there. They were talking at first, then I heard kissing and then it was F-U-C-K-I-N-G."
"God, Jax, just shut up!" Owen exclaimed in disgust as he threw a ball of tissue at his brother. He settled down in his chair when I patted him on the knee, slumping forward from the lack of sleep. Jaxon just rolled his eyes and sighed, taking a long chug from his cup.
I grimaced in disgust at our discussion at the moment. Well, I say discussion, but it was mostly Jaxon venting to us. Cassidy reached up to smack Jaxon on the back of the head before muttering him to 'shut up'. Things have got awkward since Jaxon said what he said and it only got worst when Kelly and Darren came down for breakfast. They both made their way to the kitchen and that was when we all settled ourselves in small conversations.
