I was walking alone aimlessly at the hallway of our school when Mina came out of nowhere.
"I didn't know you changed apartments." She pouted. "You didn't even tell me."
"I'm sorry Mina, it was all of a sudden." I told her. I just can't tell her that I'm stuck with Yoshinori, right?
"So where are you living now?" She asked, clinging on to my arm.
"With a friend." I answered. She looked at me, shocked.
"You have a friend besides me?" She asked, surprised.
I feigned hurt. "What do you take me for, Yoon Mina? I have other friends too."
She laughed. "No need to be sensitive. So, when do I get to meet this friend?"
"Soon." I answered shortly.
How am I supposed to tell her about that friend? Yoshinori isn't even my friend to begin with. My life's messed up.
"Anyway, you didn't tell me you know Treasure?" She has this accusing look on her face like I betrayed her.
"I don't know them." I lied.
"But why were they looking for you that time? Don't tell me they're bullying you because if that's the case, even if they're handsome as hell, I won't hesitate to fight." She raised her fists as if she was ready to punch someone in the face, making me laugh.
"Yeah, you can fight them." I smiled to myself knowing well that Mina wouldn't stand any chance. Those boys are not an ordinary group of boys, they're basically a gang. A mafia even. But why are they even doing this? I was never given the chance to ask.
"They just needed me for some tutoring." I lied. Everybody knows that Treasure is a group of intelligent boys. They get straight A's so I doubt Mina would believe me in this one.
"Really?" She furrowed her brows. "But they're intelligent as hell."
"I know right." I said. "That's why I was confused when they asked me to tutor Junghwan. Turns out, he needed help in Math and none of the boys can help him at the moment since they are busy with their studies as well so they ended up hiring me." I can't believe how I got to lie smoothly.
"I'm so jealous of you right now." Oh, you won't if you only knew. "I wish I was the one who aces Math like it's nothing." I laughed. That's true. I'm basically a Math wizard.
We arrived at our room and I can immediately felt the gaze of our classmates on me. Why are they all looking at me? Did I do something? They only stopped staring when three boys entered the room. Jihoon, Yoshinori, and Junkyu. I locked eyes with Yoshinori who just looked back at me.
"Yah, why is Yoshinori looking at you?" Mina asked.
"I don't know." I lied again.
The boys began to walk to their assigned seats. Jihoon and Junkyu sat beside each other at the pair table at my left while Yoshinori sat beside me. I mentally slapped myself for forgetting that he is my seatmate.
Our professor soon started with his lesson and I started to focus on what he was saying. Yoshinori, meanwhile, looked so bored. Jihoon and Junkyu were just playing with each other.
The class ended sooner than I expected it to be. Mina was already waiting for me to stand up from my seat. I fixed my bag and went to where Mina was. Jihoon and Junkyu smiled and waved at me when they walked past us while Yoshinori just nodded at me. What a snob.
"You told me that you're not close with them." Mina shoved me to the side.
"I'm not." I rolled my eyes. "They're just being nice."
