I woke up feeling warm the next morning. I feel extremely giddy... I feel really happy. But to be honest, I'm still kinda scared of the things that can happen. Uncertainties and possibities will always haunt me.
Yoshinori isn't new to this but I am. Ugh, I suddenly feel annoyed. He has dated girls before. Yes, girls. I don't know but that makes me feel a little insecure. I remember how Asahi described Yoshinori's ideal type and I'm the exact opposite of it. If anything, Mina fits his ideal type. Shit. Now how am I supposed to tell Mina about this? She's my bestfriend and I don't want to keep her on the dark.
I decided to stop overthinking about things and got out off bed. Classes start in five hours and I need to start preparing. After around an hour, I finished prepping up for school. I left my room to go to Yoshinori's. I know he's still asleep and wouldn't wake up any sooner so I need to go and check on him or else we're going to be late.
I softly knocked at his door before going in. There, I saw him tucked under his blanket hugging his pillow tight. He looked peaceful and angelic even. I walked towards his bed and carefully sat on the edge. I took in his features and damn, he's one fine man. Blush crept into my face when I remembered the words he said last night. He doesn't want me to walk out of his life again. Trust me, I wouldn't want to either.
"Are you done staring at me?" I was startled when his eyes fluttered open and his lips curved into a smile. I wish he would smile more. I wish I will always be the reason for it.
"W-what are you saying?" I stuttered while he just chuckled.
"I came here to wake you up for school." I told him.
"Wow, I could get used to having you wake me up every morning." He teased. His morning voice made me feel weak. I didn't know that even his voice has this effect on me.
I playfully glared at him before I stood up from his bed. "I'll wait for you in the kitchen."
I was about to turn around and leave his room when he grabbed my arm and pulled me into him. I tried to break away from his embrace but he wouldn't let go. The moment made me remember the exact thing that happened inside the van. My face instantly heated up so I looked away.
"What's the matter, doll?" His tone was playful. It has been a long time since he called me that. To be honest, I hated it at first but then I got used to it. "Why are your cheeks so red?"
I gave him a sharp look. "Stop it Yoshinori, you're teasing me. And please, stop calling me doll."
"I'm not teasing you though." He said, finally letting me go. He sat up and ruffled his hair. I want to run my hand through his hair. "And what's the matter with me calling you doll? Yoonbin gets to call you by a nickname but I can't?"
"But Yoonbin is my friend." I defended.
"Well, guess what? I am your boyfriend." I can no longer hide the smile that is forming on my lips. Hearing him say that he is my boyfriend made my heart burst with joy. Yoshinori is my boyfriend.
"Yes, you are my boyfriend." I quietly agreed. "And I'm your girlfriend."
It was his turn now to break into a smile. He gently cupped my face and squeezed my cheeks before planting a kiss on my lips.
I immediately pulled away and gave him a horrified look but he just looked at me weirdly.
"Why are you acting like we haven't kissed before? Do you want me to remind you how our first kiss went because I could go on with the deta---" I hit his arm to stop him.
"I can remember Yoshinori, you don't have to remind me." I said, finally standing up. "Get ready for school, I don't want to be late. Mr. Kim is also probably waiting for us already."
"Fine." He pouted. "Mirae, can you call me Yoshi too?" He asked. "Treasure calls me Yoshi. I only let people I love call me Yoshi." People I love... he loves me?
I smiled at him. "Of course, Yoshi."
"Thanks, baby."
---
Yoshi parked his car at his usual spot. I started to fidget on the seat. I suddenly felt nervous. The thought of girls going ballistic over the fact that their school badboy is now dating someone which happens to be one of the most boring girls in school is enough to bring chills to my spine.
"Hey, what's the matter?" Yoshi asked, placing his hand on my knees to stop them from moving.
"Yoshi, I'm scared. What if they hate on me again? What if they hurt me again?" I whispered the last question. The memory from the incident is still vivid.
"You have me, baby." He gave me an assuring smile. "They must go through me first before they can get to you."
"What if the---" He cut me off.
"Baby, you're forgetting something." I furrowed my eyebrow in confusion. What did I forget? "I am Kanemoto Yoshinori. I am Treasure's ace."
---
After Yoshi assured me that everything will be fine, we both got off his car. Immediately, students who were walking to their classes stopped to take a look. Girls began giving me death glares. I quickly hid behind Yoshi. I felt him snake his arm around my waist. Now, he made it even worse.
I saw him give them a bored look which at the same time screams terror. His aura is so deadly. Immediately, they scurried and went on their ways. I breathed a sigh of relief. Yoshi and I then walked to our classroom. When we were about to enter the room, I removed his arm from my waist. Good thing, he willingly let go when I thought he wouldn't.
I entered the room first with Yoshi tailing behind me. I saw how the girls in our room look at me with envy. I ignored them. Instead, I walked to my seat. Mina looked over and gave me a we-will-talk-later look. I only nodded in response. I really need to explain to Mina but of course, I will leave the part where Treasure is a gang behind.
"Mirae, how was your sleep?" Junkyu asked. "Did you enjoy your sleep?"
Yoshi hit Junkyu's back with a lot of force, making the latter groan in pain. Jihoon and I laughed at him. He deserved it.
"Hey why are you lau---" Junkyu was cut off when our teacher entered the room. He gave us three glares before he shifted his attention to the teacher.
---
"Mirae, you and Mina can go to the cafeteria first. We need to meet Hyunsuk hyung now." Yoshi said, giving me a knowing look. Oh, it must be something connected to the gang.
I nodded at him before Mina and I walked to the cafeteria.
"Since when?" Mina asked.
"Just last night." I answered. "I'm sorry for not telling you earlier. I didn't know how to tell you."
I saw how she eyed me sharply so I instantly felt sad and scared that my bestfriend is mad at me. But I was suprised when she grinned.
"Look at my girl Mirae getting a boyfriend for herself. And he's not just a boyfriend. He's Kanemoto freaking Yoshinori." Mina exclaimed.
"You're not mad?" I carefully asked.
"No, of course not. Okay, maybe yes because you hid it from me but I'm actually not. God, I'm confusing right?" She laughed.
"Mirae, I'm genuinely happy for you." She said, making me smile. "You made Yoshinori fall in love with you. Now, he's your boyfriend."
"Thank you, Mina. I'm happy that you're not mad at me. I'll tell you everything about us so set the date for our sleepover." I excitedly told her. My bestfriend is not mad at me! And she's very supportive.
"Yes, let's set the date please." She said. "Mirae, I'm genuinely happy for you."
She offered me a smile. I was about to smile back at her when I realized something.
Her smile didn't reach her eyes.
