"Yoonbin hyung, please do us all a favor. Stay away from the kitchen." Jaehyuk sternly told the older boy who immediately took a step back. He then quickly left the kitchen much to the delight of Jaehyuk who let out a sigh of relief.
The rest of the boys agreed to never let Yoonbin touch any kitchen tool except of course when it's time to eat. What happened with the burnt cookies gave them such a scare. Well, it isn't only about the cookies. The oven almost exploded, good thing Junghwan was able to see the smoke coming out of it. The older boys immediately went and checked it, pulling all plugs to make sure that fire won't break out. After making sure that no damage or explosion will happen, Yoshi opened the oven only to be welcomed by thick smoke. He quickly backed off to let himself breathe. The smoke was too thick that it was able to activate the sprinklers. You can say that we were all drenched in water after that. Actually, the whole place got "sprinkled" down. I think we might have used all the remaining luck that we had in our lifetime because there is no way that the oven did not explode.
"Mirae noona." I watch as Asahi take the seat next to mine. I offered him a smile which he returned.
"Asahi, I am here too. Please greet me too." Jaehyuk whined. Asahi only rolled his eyes but ended up doing exactly what Jaehyuk wanted from him. I swear these two are the closest of friends like they are inseparable. They come in pair. They are always together. They complement each other. Judging from how close they are right now, I would say that they were really close from the get-go.
But according to Yoshi's story, that wasn't the case at all. They did not get along at first. Jaehyuk and Asahi were polar opposites. Jaehyuk was the outgoing, chatty person who is really good with socializing while Asahi was the quiet and reserved one. Jaehyuk being the friendly person that he is would always approach Asahi to talk about anything under the sun. At first, it irked Asahi since he's not the type to engage in lengthy conversations. He would often dismiss Jaehyuk and would run away from him whenever the latter would try to initiate a conversation. Yoshi told me that it took a while before Asahi warmed up to Jaehyuk. They did not know exactly what happened that turned the tables around but one day, the suddenly became the closest of friends. Now, no one can separate them.
"Noona, do you want me to draw you?" I was taken aback by his question. I was silent for a few moments. Even Jaehyuk looked at Asahi in shock.
"Wow, you never offered to draw me!" Jaehyuk clutched his chest feigning hurt. "I see how this goes... let's put an end to this friendship."
Asahi only looked at him. He has this all familiar blank expression painted on his face. "You're too dramatic, Yoon Jaehyuk."
"Don't call me dramatic! I am your best friend but you never drew a portrait of me. You already drew Mashiho, Yoshi hyung and Jihoon hyung but you never drew me." Jaehyuk exclaimed.
"That's because he never wanted to draw a portrait of you in the first place." Jeongwoo said in a sassy manner. Jaehyuk glared at him as the younger boy tried to grab a piece of pancake. Jaehyuk immediately swatted his hand.
"Do you think I will give you food after what you said? Huh? Park Jeongwoo?" Jaehyuk said. "Go cook your own food."
"Uhh..." I butted in. "I don't think that's a good idea. You know very well how Jeongwoo isn't talented in cooking, right?"
Jeongwoo stared at me. "Noona, you don't have to rub it in my face. I know I cannot cook. There's no need to state the obvious. There's no need for you to attack me like that. Besides, even if I love you, I am willing to fight you any day if you keep hurting my ego just like what you're doing right now."
"Jeongwoo, I won't hesitate to fight you either." I told him, raising my fist on the process. The three boys in front of me looked at each other before they burst into fits of laughter.
"Noona... not to be that person but you know pretty well that we are gang members right?" Jeongwoo said with a smirk on his face.
I glared at him. "I know that, you don't have to state the obvious. Fine, I won't fight you anymore." After that, I turned to Asahi.
"Asahi, are you still going to draw me?" I asked him. Asahi is a good artist. I've seen his drawings before and they're beautiful.
"On second thought noona, I am too lazy right now. But don't worry, I'll do it someday." I pouted because of what he said. "Why not ask Yoshi hyung to draw you? He's good at drawing too."
"You're right! I should ask him to draw me." I said. I've also seen a lot of Yoshi's artworks and I can say that he's also a talented artist. Oh, he's perfect. I can't believe he's mine.
"Okay now Asahi..." Jaehyuk trailed, a hopeful look painted on his face. "Can you draw me too?"
Asahi deadpanned. "Weren't you listening? I said I am lazy so even if you're my best friend, you aren't an exception."

I woke up to shuffling sounds across the Yoshi's room. Yes, we had a "sleepover" in his room because he said he wanted some cuddles.
I sat up on the bed and rubbed my eyes, shaking off the drowsiness left in my system. I saw Yoshi going through his things on his closet. He pulled out his gun from the drawer and placed it on his waistband.
"Where are you going?" I asked, my voice still groggy from waking up. He turned to me, surprised.
"Oh, I thought you were still sleeping. Did I wake you up?" He asked. I watch him walk closer to me before he settled on the bed.
"Yeah, I heard shuffling... do you have an operation tonight?" I asked, getting worried all of a sudden.
He nodded. He must have seen the change in my emotion so he ran his fingers through my hair before pulling me closer. "Something came up so we have to leave and take care of it."
I didn't know what to say. I just rested my head on his chest.
"We'll take them down quickly so I can come home to you fast." He assured me but no words can calm my beating heart. I know that this is something they do usually do but I still can't help but be worried for them. "Don't worry about us, about me. We're Treasure, Mirae. I am Kanemoto Yoshinori."
Kanemoto Yoshinori. Ace.
"Doyoung, Haruto, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan will stay behind to guard the house and to look after you. We cannot take risks and be complacent especially since your father might be lurking around." He continued talking but I was just listening to him. He might have noticed it so he cupped my face.
"Baby, say something." He cooed.
I sighed. "This is what you do so I won't stop you. But please, as always, be safe. I'll wait for you to come home."
He nodded his head and gave me a kiss on my forehead before he left the room. I quickly clasped my hands and began to fervently pray. As I've said before, I don't usually pray but this time, I close my eyes and ask for guidance and protection for the people I love, for the person I love.
Be safe, Yoshi. Be safe, my love.
