"Yoshinori only wanted you because you were the only one around when he needed someone to cling to."

Mina's words are stuck inside my head. Her words keep on messing with my mind. I know that I should not be listening to Mina but for some reasons, I can't help but to listen to her. After all, it has been three days since I got abducted and no Yoshinori nor Treasure came to my aid. I can't help but think that maybe they have chosen to forget about my existence. Maybe they have realized that I am already a lost case and decided to throw me off the bus. After all, they are up against their biggest rival. Any negotations with them will only lead to a loss on Treasure's part. Also, their lives would also be put into great danger if they ever try to rescue me. It's twelve lives over one and I would fully understand if they would prioritize their lives over mine. I would completely understand if Yoshi decided that it's his brothers over me.

But I still can't help but feel disappointed though. A part of me was expecting that Yoshi would be able to track me down immediately as soon as I went missing. I was positive that he will be able to rescue me. But I guess I was trapped in my own little fantasy. Now, I am beginning to realize that my life is not like those of the fairy tales that I used to read when I was a little girl. I realized that I am no princess. Neither is Yoshinori my prince in a white horse. I am a damsel in distress but I have no one to save me.

---

"Hey bestie, how are you feeling?" Mina came in with a tray on her hand. She placed it on the bed and plopped beside me. If I could only use my feet, I would kick her off the bed. Just her face annoys me. I want to wipe off the smug smile plastered on her face.

"Awful... especially since you came." I answered her, feeling all snarky. She let out a loud laugh after my response. What's funny? Do I look like I am joking?

"That is exactly what I wanted to hear." She said, giving me a sinister smile. "You know Mirae, ever since you decided to get in between me and Yoshinori, I promised to myself that I would do anything to make your life miserable. I guess I'm inching closer to the fulfillment of that promise."

I bravely met her eyes. Those eyes were filled with emotions before but now, they're just blank and dull. She really turned into a different person after our fall-out. With the brave front I put on, I finally decided to answer her back.

"I can't help but feel bad for you, Mina. Do you really think Yoshi would like you after all of these things that you're doing? If yes, then you've completely lost your mind. I don't even think he would even dare to look at you and if he does, he would look at you with nothing else but spite. He wouldn't look at you the way he looks at me because you are not me, Mina. You are not me, you are not the one he loves."

"Shut up!" She yelled, throwing the tray with the food to the ground. The sound of the plates shattering filled the room. She's fuming mad and she looks like she is ready to fight me. I really don't care anymore, if she wants to fight then so be it. I've had enough of her bullshits. I'm so done holding back against her. I'm ready to throw all the years of friendship I've had with her. After all, she is the one who started this.

"You can't handle the truth? Well, it isn't my problem anymore." I boldly told her. "You need to be slapped with reality in order for you to wake up from your delusions."

"Should I slap you with reality too? Yoshinori doesn't love you because if he does, you wouldn't be here. If he loves you, he would've showed up the very first day to come and save you. But looks like he doesn't care at all because look at you now all tied up and alone in this room."

"He loves me! He cares for me! He will come and save me!" I yelled at her. Fuck everything that she tried to instill in my mind. I shouldn't have listened to her. I should've completely trusted Yoshi. I should've known that he would do anything to save me. After all, he promised my mother that he would protect me at all cost.

"Well pack it up, Mirae. He won't be able to save you since there is no way that he would be able to track us here. This place is isolated and well hidden. Yoshinori and his friends will have a hard time finding you and when they completely lost their hopes of finding you, they will have no other choice but to agree with your father's conditions..." She paused and gave me a lopsided smile. "... and among those conditions in order to free you is for Yoshinori to be mine."

She stood up from the bed and prepared to leave the room. Before she could grab the doorknob, I spoke.

"What makes you think that you could trust my father?" I can see how she froze for a second before she turned around to face me.

"He promised me that he would be able to give me Yoshinori." She told me.

I smirked. "He also promised my mom a good life but where is my mom now? She's dead and gone. She lost her life because she put her trust on a man who did nothing but continuously break every single promise he made. Now tell me, what makes you think that my father would really give you Yoshinori?"

I saw fear on her eyes for a moment before she quickly put on a blank expression.

"I don't care about what happened to your family, Mirae. I am putting my full trust in your father and I know that he won't break it."

---

Several hours passed after Mina came. I still can't believe that she really put her trust in my father when she's well aware about how conniving he is. I guess that is what happens when you're desperate for something or in her case, for someone.

I was feeling a little sleepy already so I decided that it's best if I take a nap. After all, it is going to be just another day here in this room unless something would happen. I laid on the bed and closed my eyes, waiting for sleep to take over my body.

But just as I was about to completely doze off, I heard shouting from outside. I immediately sat down on the bed as anticipation started to build inside me. I just hope it is the boys. I hope that they've finally discovered this place. I hope that they've finally arrived to come and save me. Please, let it be the boys.

Gunshots began to ring around the place. I immediately covered my ears. I am still not used to the sound of guns even if I would always watch the boys on the firing range when they train.

"Jeongwoo, I said cover the right side. Why are you here on the left?" I heard the familiar deep voice of Haruto above the gunshots outside the room.

Finally, they found me.

"Shut up, I don't have enough time to argue with you." Jeongwoo shouted. "Just keep on shooting." After that, I didn't hear another comeback from Haruto but instead, I heard another round of gunshots.

Suddenly, my door opened widely and a man with a gun on his hands entered. It's from my father's gang, I'm completely doomed. He approached me and untied my hands quickly. He was so harsh while untying it so I let out a cry.

"If you don't shut up I will shoot your head." He yelled at me, pointing the gun at my head. "Quick, get up. I need to transfer you to another hideout as per your father's directions. I can't believe that those group of kids managed to find us. Get up now, let's go."

Just as I was about to stand up, he suddenly collapsed against me after I heard four gunshots. I shrieked in horror as I watch blood seep out from his body. I quickly pushed him off and with a thud, he fell lifeless on the ground. I looked up to see who shot him and I immediately cried out of happiness. I stared at the familiar set of eyes that I love before my gaze moved to the smile plastered on his face.

"Hey baby, did you miss me?"
