The familiar sound of the alarm blaring was enough motivation for Y/n to open his eyes and slam his hand onto the snooze button.

He then slowly sat up in his bed remembering what happened last night.

Y/n: "I felt so much stronger...what was that?"

His question was answered by Rexalian.

Rexalian: "Simple. I, as your sacred gear, reacted in accordance with your feelings. You wished to protect your brother, so I enhanced your speed and strength so you could deal with that fallen angel."

Y/n: "I-...I see. Thank you, Rexalian."

Before Rexalian could respond there was a soft groan from next to Y/n. He pulled the covers back and saw Rias with some major bedhead fast asleep next to him.

Y/n: "That's right...she saved us as well."

Rexalian: "The daughter of the Gremory family. You've landed a very high ranking devil there, brother."

Y/n: "Her rank doesn't mean a damn thing to me, Rexalian."

One of Rias' eyes opened slowly and she smiled when she saw Y/n sitting up next to her.

Rias: "Morning, Y/n. Sleep well?"

Y/n: "Of course."

Rias giggled before leaning up to hug Y/n's arm. The two sat for roughly five minutes before Y/n got up and started lifting his weights. 50kg's on each dumbbell meant that he had to put effort into each rep he did.

Rias watched as he did his morning exercises and when he started to do his push ups, she took a seat on his back.

Rias: "Need an extra challenge?"

Y/n smirked up at the crimson haired girl on top of him before managing forty push ups with her on his back. She then got off of him and helped him to his feet before he got ready to go for his morning run. Rias took the opportunity to take a shower while he was out.

When she was drying herself off, she noticed something in the corner of Y/n's room. She pulled the cover off of it, revealing a Piano that clearly hadn't been played in quite a while.

Rias: "So he plays piano too? Jeez, what have I gotten myself into?"

She smiled before gently pushing the keys in a few chord patterns. Before she had realised it, she had been playing for ten minutes.

Y/n stood in the doorway until she had finished her song and coughed to announce himself.

Y/n: "That was pretty good, Rias. I didn't know you played."

Rias: "Eheheheh. Father taught me some of the basics, but then high school rolled around and I had to divert my attention to my studying."

Y/n smiled at her before motioning for her to follow him.

Y/n: "C'mon. We gotta hurry up or we'll be late."

After Y/n made breakfast for the two of them, and some for the slowest pervert in Japan, they headed out to school. Rias kept close to Y/n which made him feel an odd sense of comfort, though he certainly wasn't complaining.

While they walked, Rias explained some of the basics of devil society in a way that made it seem like she was just talking about the ORC.

Rias: "Essentially there are seventy two demon pillars in the underworld. Each of them are named in the grimoire of Solomon. Each of them represent their own things. For example, Bael represents destruction while Phenex represents life and death."
