(Peter drove his moter bike downtown, it had taken him a while to save up for a new one after his last one got a bit banged up when Harry first attacked him)
(That thought made Peter sad, Harry was his best friend and he hated that he had been responsible for sending him down a dark path but despite everything Harry still helped him in the end, sacrificing his life for Peter's, that was still something that Peter had not quite come to terms with but he was working on moving forward with his life)
(Peter visited Aunt May in her apartment)
May: "Oh hi Peter!"
Peter: "Hey Aunt May."
(They sat by the counter to have some tea)
May: "How have you been?"
Peter: "Uh..I'm fine. I've been doing some good work in the lab with Dr Conners. His ideas are amazing. I'm glad we're on good terms now since I used to always miss his class."
May: "Oh don't fuss over the old days, Peter. You've changed so much since then. I can tell."
Peter: "You can?"
May: "Of course. You used to let the weight of the world drag you down but somewhere along the way you figured out how to..take a step back and give yourself time to accept yourself for who you are, not...let the darkness change you into someone you.. never really were."
(Peter smiled softly but couldn't help being reminded of the black suit and how it had affected him)
May: "Now enough about that. How are things with Mary Jane?"
(Peter took a couple moments to figure out how to respond to that question)
Peter: "She's..doing okay. I think she's happy with her job at the jazz club so she's been sticking to that. And uh..we're..we're okay."
May: "So have you..gotten back together with her?"
(Peter looked down sadly)
Peter: "..no. It's..it's been pretty tough..for the both of us. So for now I think we're just gonna be friends."
May: "Oh Peter...I know you'll find true happiness one day. These things have a..way of working themselves out."
Peter: "..thanks Aunt May."
(She gave him a hug which he returned, providing him with the warmth and comfort he needed to get through the rest of the day)
