Scorpion

(Peter entered the Daily Bugle offices and was greeted by Betty Brant)

Betty: "Hey Pete! Haven't seen you around here for a while."

Peter: "Hey Betty. It's nice to see you. Is Mr Jameson around?"

Betty: "Oh actually he just left. Something important must have come up because he left in a hurry."

(Peter looked towards the exit suspiciously)

(After exiting the Bugle, Peter saw Mr Jameson get into a car, something about his expression told Peter that something was up, most likely having to do with John)

(Peter figured he should follow and find out what was going on so he ducked into an alley and zipped out as Spider-Man)

(Spider-Man swung after Jameson's car, making sure to keep a safe distance when Jameson arrived at a warehouse in a quiet section of town and went inside)

(Spider-Man crawled along the side of the building and found an entrance through the ventilation ducks, he peered down into the room below and was utterly baffled at what he saw)

(Jonah Jameson was watching as his son John was being strapped into a big green mechanized suit by another man in a lab coat)

Spider-Man: "Oh boy.."

(As John was being fitted into the suit, Stillwell walked over to Jonah to talk to him)

Jonah: "Well? Will it work?"

Stillwell: "Oh it'll work quite well, Mr Jameson. Now about my pay?"

(Jonah laughed as Stillwell glared, unamused)

Jonah: "You serious?"

(Stillwell pulled out a gun and aimed it at Jameson's head)

Stillwell: "Quite serious."

John: "Dad!'

(John rushed over in an attempt to save his dad but someone else got there first)

(Spider-Man dropped down from the ceiling and instantly disarmed Stillwell with a web, he then tied Stillwell to the wall)

Jameson: "You!"

Spider-Man: "That's me."

Jameson: "It's about time we met in person ya menace!"

Spider-Man: "Nice to meet you too. While we're on the subject I must say I don't care for the things you write about m.."

(Spider-Man felt his spider sense go off)

Spider-Man: "Uh oh."

(Scorpion tackled him and the two crashed through the wall out into the street)

(Spider-Man groaned and picked himself up)

Spider-Man: "Before your dad says anything..I can confirm that property damage was 100% not my fault."

Scorpion: "Why did you come? Were you planning to sabotage the experiment? Make sure this suit wouldn't be a threat to you?"

Spider-Man: "For your information Scorpy, I was only trying to help. Which is more than I can say for you strapping on a big green tail and..pointing it around like that."

Scorpion: "My dad was right about you all along. You're nothing but a wacko in a mask."

(A bright green light on the end of his tail powered up)

(Spider-Man sighed) "Here we go.."

(Scorpion blasted a laser out of his tail as Spider-Man dodged out of the way, the beam cut cleanly through a nearby car)

Spider-Man: "Holy..! That one's coming out of your paycheck buddy! At least being an astronaut pays pretty well, right?"

(Scorpion yelled and swiped with his tail which Spider-Man leapt over)

Spider-Man: "Wow you're sure a pain in the Astronaut!"

(Jonah Jameson had started taking photos of the fight from across the street and face palmed at Spider-Man's joke)

Spider-Man: "Sorry about that. Still working on my stand up."

Scorpion: "Why don't you...sit down?!"
(He roared out as he attacked him)

Spider-Man: "Why don't you stick em up?"

(He fired webs which wrapped around Scorpion's arms and tail)

(Jameson was trying to take pictures but he kept having problems with his camera)

Jameson: "Gah! How does Parker do it?"

(Scorpion broke free of the webbing and slammed Spider-Man with his tail, sending him flying into a flag pole)

Spider-Man: "Ow. Huh. Flag pole."

(Jameson ran over to John)

Jameson: "We should probably get going. Cops will be here any second."

Scorpion: "No I'm gonna finish this."

Jameson: "John you did great okay? Now let's beat it!"

(Scorpion grimaced but nodded and left the scene with his father)

(Spider-Man stood atop the flag pole and watched as the two Jamesons ran off)

Spider-Man: "I know I should be surprised that Jameson would stoop this low..but I'm really not."

(Black Cat landed on the roof above him, making Spider-Man yelp in surprise)

Black Cat: "Nice moves, spider. Watching you work gets me all sweaty."

Spider-Man: "Um..okay. Thanks? But seriously who are you? Why are you so interested in me?"

Black Cat: "Maybe one day I'll tell you.." (She giggled) "But not today."

(She kicked the pole he was standing on making him fall off, she giggled and did a back flip, vanishing out of sight)

(Spider-Man caught himself on the side of the building on the way down, sticking to the wall, he looked up to where Black Cat had just been standing)

Spider-Man: "What is it with this town and crazy costumed characters? Have I started a trend?"

(A few minutes later, Peter changed back into his normal clothes and saw a message from Dr Conners asking him to meet him at the lab)

Peter's thoughts: "That's weird. Dr Conners was supposed to be taking some time off from the lab. Better head over there and make sure everything's okay."
