The gift

One thing about me is I  hate getting dressed up for school. Probably out there ,are more people like myself. Let me put it this way, I hate dressing up generally .
I  fail to know what to wear, what shoes goes with, this colour goes with that other colour .
Today I wake up and I  have no idea on what to wear.
I randomly go through my wardrobe With no idea what to dress.

I end up picking my pink sweatpants and sneakers .
I know  it's not a cool outfit to wear on a Monday but I put it on anyway.

In few minutes am ready I go downstairs and  join my family for breakfast.

I am glad to find everyone on the table ,Mum and dad in a good mood I say hi to them and join the table.

Soon enough we are ready to leave ,I for school and  dad for work. My mother had gotten herself a new car so today she was driving herself to her workplace.

At school everything goes well  and I meet Anna on my way to class .
We both chat as we go to class .It's amazing how Anna never fails to have something to say .

I receive a text from Andrew asking how am doing he was hoping to see me in school.
Lately we have been texting often we got to know each other better.
I might as well say we became friends .

Now its lunch time Anna and I are having lunch in the school cafeteria .
Andrew had texted that he was going to join us .

I see Anna smilling and know Drew is right behind me so I mentally prepare my self to greet him .   

What I see leaves  my mouth hanging open. Drew is  standing behind me  with everlasting flowers in his hands .

"Hey Jackie " he greeted me while handing me the flowers .

"Hey too ,are these beautiful flowers mine,"

Is he courting me !

" Yeah. I was on my way to school and I saw those I know you love everlasting flowers so I thought of buying them for you"

"Hey Anna , I also got you these "he said handing Anna chocolates from his pockets.

This guy surely knows how to win a girl's  heart, from how Anna was smiling I knew she  likes the gifts .

"Hope you two like your
gifts " he  said bringing us both to the real world which we seem to have escaped .

"Yes , but you really didn't have to " Anna and I said in unison .

" Oooh it was no big deal I just felt like getting those to my beautiful friends"

"Thanks "

"Okay let's order our meals am starving already "

We all ordered our meals and begun eating .
We talked about everything and nothing. We really enjoyed each others company .Within less time we are done eating and went to hung around the school.
Anna and I were free for the rest of the evening so we were going to the library to do our assignment and later on go for a walk time evening.

On  our way to the library...

"Hey Jackie.,can I ask you something? "

"Yeah sure  ,anything  " I reply.

" what were those gifts for is there something I should know"

"Anna , what are you talking about. I also have no idea. we are just friends and Andrew thought he could be nice and brought us those gifts , you know everything you should, I have nothing to hide"

"Ooh really. .. that's fine but I was wondering what friends buy each other flowers or at least what type of friends "

What Anna said got me thinking but I  have no answer  .

"Or maybe he likes you but doesn't know how to say it so he is showing it instead "

"Anna enough about this whole topic .Andrew and I are friends nothing more , please stop "

"Okay but one more question"

"What else hope no Drew is mentioned "

"That i cant promise .... do you like andrew , these days you two hung out alot and have become close friends. So I just want to know because I feel like he is stealing you from me"

Before Anna is done talking burst out laughing. What is she even saying .First I don't like him, or at least not like Anna  thinks.Two no one is going to separate  me and Anna .

" Anna you such a baby doll , I love you bestie and I will not let anyone take me away from you , about Andrew I like him but only for a friend , nothing is going on  between   him and I "

"They all say that at the beginning but they end up falling for them later" says Anna .She has been watching alot of teen drama and that thing is messing with her head.

"Let's so to the library and do our assignment stop thinking too much, your little head is going to hurt" I told Anna with a smirk.

when we're done with our assignment Anna and I headed home. It being a Monday we are both tired and don't feel like going for our ussual walks.

I invite Anna to my home for some ice cream .We both have fun .Anna and I love icecream .we feast on the cream as we watched our favorite episode of early bird .

When the episode ends Anna goes home  and I am left alone since mum and dad were not  home yet .I spend the rest of my evening in my room listening to music.
And doing absolutely nothing.
