Family and feelings

"Where have you guys been I have been looking for you everywhere " , Anna asks when she spots me.

"Around why ? " I ask amused she would have called if she was looking for me.

She grabs my hand and pushes me far from Andrew and she whispers in hushed tones hoping people can't here her.

"What happened to Shawn I just saw him afew minutes ago and he doesn't look happy. When I tried to talk to him he pushed me away murmuring something between the lines 'good' 'intentions ' and something else I didn't get  " she keeps staring at Andrew judging from her face I assume she  knows something happened between Andrew and Shawn. It's Anna we are talking about  this girls smells news from the past , present and future .

I may have exaggerated but what I meant is that she is aware of everything happening around her.

"Spill  it " Anna losses her patience when she notices that I am trying hard to formulate sentences in my head.

"This is what happened .We were all in the bleacherswhen ...." I start narrating everything from how it started to the end and she listens carefully.

"Do you know what you did was so stupid of you .You have no right to meddle in our business. If I were In his position I would have felt the same. "

"We are genuinely sorry. Curiosity got the better part of us but we didn't mean to judge you whatsoever. " now I  feel bad ,knowing I hurt my best friends feelings.

"You know Shawn is a really cool guy .We got a long in the very few days and he is been my safe haven. "  , Anna says and she avoids eye contact but everything else is evident in her face .The way her eyes flicker and her lips spread wide to form a smile. She does this thing with her nails that I haven't seen her do in a while.

" Are you falling in love with the mighty Shawn?  " I ask with my hands on my mouth. I think am about to scream.

"I think love Is a big word . No one just wakes up and say they are in love " she says and am confused I don't think I heard her deny or agree.

"What should that mean ? " , I look around for somewhere to sit .

Before I met Anna being me must have been really boring.

"You know you can trust me , your  secret is safe with me " I give her assurance so she can proceed.

"Okay fine but don't make me regret saying this " I nod in response.

" since I started hanging out with Shawn I begun to like him. He has this beauty that you never notice till he gives you the chance to see through his walls. He may act like a playboy but inside that guy is a heart that cares ,understands and ...I don't know what to say but I can't help to like him. I know I broke up with Bruno not long ago.I am not over him , boy I got him in my head , heart  and everywhere but when Shawn is around I tend to forget about him.I think am being delusional but I once thought of kissing him but he didn't seem Like he felt the same "

"You really in a lot of 
trouble " that's much  I can come up with as a response.

"Is that all you can say .I  am now embarrassed " she hides her face with her hands but am quick to undo it.

"They is nothing to be embarrassed about its pretty normal. Any girl would fall for him he is not a bad person and that makes him likeable but my worry is you my friend. As much as I am rooting for Bruno I still think you deserve a chance to be happy. "

I resume after a long pause,
"However you should take things slow .You don't have to rush if you are not ready .one step at a time and you will be done with the healing process. You are strong and I will always be here when you need me ."
