From Afar

He spins around,
No one's there,
He steps forward, reaches out, shrugs it off, sighs and leaves,
Without knowing it was her who stared.

It was never some creepy, stalker-ish, love story,
She admired from afar, watching him, carefully yet slowly.
They were once best friends, maybe more, always had each other until the end, until he lost his memory.

That one night, at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
She felt emptiness without him, she felt like she cried for a lifetime.

She still wiped her tears and never gave up, she never did.
He was everything she had always wanted,
She hoped he woke up sooner, smiling at her, joking about things she was worried about, she wished and wished.

Even when he forgot her name, who she was, but when he woke up,
She was still so, so, so happy.

She took care of him when he was sleeping,
She admired from afar when he wasn't looking,
He felt something, like a piece or some part of him was missing,
He can't or couldn't remember she was the one and so he kept searching.
