Known to be depressed,
Physically and mentally exhausted,
Bags under her eyes,
She was always sleep-deprived.
Known to be a failure,
Incomplete pieces of work,
Fingers brimmed with blisters,
She can't prove it, it was never a filter.
Known to be sorrowful,
Cheeks overflowed with
burning tears,
Her head is where the demons lurked,
They wrap her tightly in the dark.
But she's also well known as someone who doesn't give up,
Known to be strong and powerful,
Strong enough to smile every day,
No matter what they say.
Well known to try and stay positive,
And those awful thoughts?
Throw them out the window!
That's where they belong and go.
Who she was on the inside,
Is finally loved as she and her soulmate, collide.
See that joyful smile?
She placed all those traumatic memories in a neat pile.
She's loved and lost,
But all those memories?
They're in the past,
Let their be lessons learned.
She doesn't need to put them up
on her top shelf.
Slowly, she learns how to, finally,
love herself.
