Summary:
                   Peter was getting left behind
by the avengers, and not only
                  that... but his father figure,
                  Tony Stark. They were now
treating him like a toy to push
                 around, and the only person..
                 well AIs that actually cared
                 were FRIDAY and Karen and
                his spider-mum.

...

"

Hey Karen... you can talk to FRIDAY can't you?" Peter's voice was slightly broken with sadness as tears rolled down his cheeks, the boy was just up on water and managed to get a job outside of SI and the involvement of the avengers. However recently they had given him a few more bruises from hardened grip and verbal abuse, much like it had been with Flash however worse. Only one person was trying her best to persuade them to stop... Natasha Romanoff. But now, she was on a mission alone which left Peter vulnerable.

"I can talk to FRIDAY Peter, would you like me to contact her and connect her so you can speak to both of us?" the gentle tone of Karen replied and Peter made a small whimper of a 'yes' before taking a shaky breath.

"Yes Peter?" came the calm yet worried tone of FRIDAY as she was contacted by Karen.

"C-can.. you please tell them that I'm asleep? I want to run away... A-and Karen, are you able to disconnect yourself from contacting M-mr Stark?" The boy was so vulnerable... he was pale and shaking... he was scared.

"Of course we can Peter" chorused the Ai's in a motherly tone they could muster.

Peter was glad he had an emergency backpack tucked away, he always had one just in case... it packed: a hoodie and some jeans, money to get by, two water bottles and for the time being he placed in his sandwhich's.

"Are you ready to leave Peter?" Asked Karen as she adjusted herself to communicate in a small microchip on Peter's sleeve. "I'm ready... FRIDAY please open the window and I'll swing out, don't signal Tony or the others... oh and i'll miss you! but i'll be sure to talk!" Peter gave the Ai who watched him -aside from Karen- a sweet smile, in response the Ai replied: "Will do Pete, i'll miss you too"

The window opened and Peter swung out, releasing a web from his web shooter. Peter had disappeared off into the city...

He had left the suit on the bed with a small note, as the window closed the light from the moon settled over the note and old suit he had.

'To whoever reads this,

I'm no longer spiderman, because the one who should matter the most is the person behind it. and i'm not fit for being in that role...

I've left you alone now.
Please do well without me,

I'm sorry I didn't live to your expectations.

- P. Parker'

The night soared through the city like a blanket of silence, Spiderman hadn't appeared... and Peter Parker was gone too... it was silent in the city... silent in the tower...

Even FRIDAY had been silent from that day, only communicating with Peter to check on how he was, but when the tower needed something she didn't talk as much. The prescence without Peter was suffocating.

...

The workers in SI had missed the smart bubbly boy, the boy that used to help them when they needed him... or when they made their day better than working like robots.

It was conflicting between the avengers, Clint was along with Natasha on the mission, leaving alone: Tony, Steve, Bruce and Bucky.

A part of them was missing the teenager, yet another was living fine without him.

Some days they struggled, usually calling to someone who wasn't around anymore... until they went to open Peter Parker's room... the light shimmering from the window onto the suit he wore, the note scribbled with his writing delicately placed on top.

Spiderman, the asset they wanted...

was gone.

Crime started to begin to rise through the cities once again, but small mediocre crime... who was there to stop it? no-one. Spiderman never came.

emptiness, grief, suffocating thoughts enveloped the avengers, the tower which was once joyful and busy was just a silent empty shell.

They weren't satisfied with Peter Parker. only with spiderman.

It went on for a week, yet the boy hadn't returned. No call... no tracker... and no sign in school.

But after a month, they returned. Clint and Natasha.

...

Peter had been doing fine, yearning on with ambition, hurt, and talking to his Ai Karen, usually communicating along with FRIDAY who was happy to oblige.

He had gotten a job and even though he didn't have enough for an apartment he managed to move place to place in the city. His ability to blend in the crowd was natural, he ate a sandwhich he had in his hand as he talked to Karen.

"Karen, is there any interesting news?" His question was slightly muffled as he was eating the sandwhich, his hood over his head. "I wouldn't consider it news but the avengers have released the disappearance of Spiderman." A sigh escaped his lips as the Ai continued. "However FRIDAY has alerted me that Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton have returned. And are wishing to see you"

Peter paused in his steps as the crowds passed him like nothing.

Clint and Natasha... they were the only people who actually cared about him. Beside FRIDAY and Karen of course... he wondered how they were doing, they must have missed him.

But people change. Peter changed.

"What does the news say about Spiderman?" A screen appeared infront of Peter as it showed what was going on, it had Tony Stark talking about Spiderman's disappearance. Talking about the crime rates increasing in Queen's and no one there to stop it, talking about how they need Spiderman... they never talked about how they need Peter. Peter Parker.

"I should go back there soon, not as Spiderman. but as a person you'll wish you kept"

and with that he disappeared in the crowd.
