Summary:
/not a Peter x Bucky sorry/
Peter is just a normal boy that
had gone through alot, and
Bucky is the Winter Soldier...
By a small coincidence that
Bucky met Peter by him
staying in a small alley
holding a white cat that
Bucky was looking for.
...

A boy snuggled up in the thin blankets in the alley, it was one of those cold nights... He never thought that he would ever pass 20. He was still 17...

He could see a cloud of air evapourate infront of him as he breathed, he huddled behind the dumpster and slid to the corner clinging to what comfort there would have been.

His eyes started to droop while he felt exhaustion sweep over him; And with that his eyelashes fluttered gently while he hugged his body close, gathering what warmth he could. Using his backpack as a pillow before dozing off.

The boy never had a proper education, he would rely on books from the library and self-teach himself, steal food from the farm market and get away with it...

He felt warm in his small corner while he tried getting some sleep, and only for a few hours or so before waking up again in the early morning. What he assumed was 5:00am... The boy stood up and rubbed his eyes away from the tiredness before trudging to the library as usual.

The thing was that he wouldn't speak. He always kept to himself... wouldn't talk to anyone. Could he talk? or did he force himself not to?

...

Bucky couldn't sleep, he always couldn't sleep.

However he felt a small tail brush gently over his arm... A white cat with blue eyes. It was comforting to say so, and he was grateful she was here.

The cat meowed as it hopped onto his lap, making him hesitantly stroke her soft fur. "I'm alright, don't worry." He chuckled before feeling a lot more relaxed...

People thought that the Winter Soldier was always a scary person. But that was who he was before. Not who he was now, he was controlled and had no choice.

The man got up as the cat followed behind him, trying to grab his attention once again. He was staying in the tower after making amends with Tony and the persuasion of Steve, he brought his lovable white cat with him while she jumped elegantly onto the counter.

"What should I drink Alpine?" The cat saw a glass bottle of milk before putting her paw into it in which Bucky smiled at. "Milk it is then, do you want some?"

...

The boy lay his head down at the table where he sat and had those memories of him with his Aunt. They drank warm milk together on a cold night like this... by the campfire. But she was gone now.

When the library was closing for the day the brown haired boy walked out and went to his alley, sliding down the huge dumpster and huddling close to his bag to keep warm. He then noticed a white tail from the side as it reveals a white cat with beautiful blue eyes...

The cat curled onto his lap as the male hugged it gently. He opened his mouth and whispered lightly: "Hey... are you lost too?" The feline had no collar and so he shook his head with a small smile... even a cat had no family.

"I'm Peter by the way..." He gently stroked her fur and felt some slight comfort. The feline just purred in response as though she was listening

"Guess you'll stay with me for a bit then.." He unzipped his hoodie and let the cat make her bed in there, big blue eyes staring up at Peter's brown orbs. "Good night kitty..." He fell asleep while delicately holding her in his hands.

Bucky was worrying about Alpine as when he returned with the warm milk and dinner for the cat she wasn't there.

He was going to try and find his little companion and decided to go outside, he slumped on his coat and left the warm milk along with the tinned cat food on the dinner table before going on his motorcycle.

The soldier rode in the streets looking for the white feline and came to a stop... slightly in the city he saw the white tail sway by...

Parking his motorcycle and following the glimpse of the white fur he came across an alley, hearing a small mutter and the familiar curious 'mrow' he peeked behind the dumpster to see the small feline being protected and warmed up by a figure who's face seemed to be covered by his hood to not see his features.

When the boy felt a towering prescence over him he woke up, rubbing his eyes from sleep and staring up at the individual.

No words escaping his mouth but then noticed that the cat was seemingly happy to meet the one infront of him, making him have the courage to speak up in such a small mutter... "Is she yours?"

Bucky felt the voice of the other was so delicate it was heartbreaking... He was here in this condition it made him curious. "Thank you for protecting her."

"She... came to me."

"Bucky. Barnes." He man gave a hand out to the boy in which he hesitantly took, the smaller's body was petite and fragile compared to the taller man.

"P-Peter... Parker."

...

Peter was brought to the tower by Bucky as he gently held the small cat in his arms... "What's... her name?" The boy managed to croak out as Bucky gave a soft smile, Peter didn't know about the Winter Soldier... only Bucky.

"Alpine"

The two had small conversations to each other as it was mild, then Bucky offered for Peter to take a shower in which he accepted... When the boy came out he threw a spare shirt to the smaller male in which he wore, it went loosely over his neck, revealing his vulnerable pale skin. However the shirt itself was very oversized.

"How are you feeling sweetheart?"

Sweetheart.

Just those words made Peter smile, it made him a little better at someone caring about him.

"...More refreshed." He looked down at his feet in which he shuffled side to side slightly. "Mm.. that's good, you can use it any time, if you want to stay here." The man approached him and pat him on the head before realisation hit him.

"I-I should go! I can't stay in your house and intrude... I-I mean--" He couldn't get the words out of his mouth...

A small chuckle erupted from Bucky as the boy looked up at the man. "I mean... I don't want to freeload..." The soldier walked towards Peter in whom stood where he was with slight confusion.

"Don't worry about it, If you cook breakfast or help pay the bills then that would count as you not freeloading"

Peter made a sigh of relief and smiled gently.

"Y-yeah... Thanks... B-bucky..." The boy stared down at his feet while mumbling his name.

"No problem" A genuine smile graced his lips as Alpine curled comfortably on Bucky's shoulders, the two got along nicely as a warm start to their newfound friendship.
