Valentines Day

hey everyone. my valentine's day was great! i got cake :) 

qotd, how was your day?

kazuichi never really liked this day due to the fact that he had so many horrible attempts at getting a date. even now that he's come out, he's still scared of trying again. even if he had a boyfriend who loved him to hell and back, he didn't wanna screw anything up. 

that's why he was huddled up in his room with his snake, wispy. (listen man i tried) it stuck it's tongue at kazuichi as a romantic song came on his spotify playlist. he sighed and skipped it. it still hurt him to even look at a romantic image, let alone hear something remotely romantic. no one bothered to come in and check in on him. he let out a shuddering sigh and buried his head in his arms. 

a few hours later kazuichi woke up to a quiet knocking on his bedroom door. he looked down at his snake and gently placed it into it's habitat. standing up, kazuichi wiped his tears away to answer the door. the boy wasn't expecting anyone to want to stop by but he was welcome to company. 

"hello, shark mortal."

kazuichi froze. not him. please dear god, not him. gundham was holding a bouquet of blood red roses in his left hand with a card in the other. 

"are you okay?" 

gundham placed his valentines down on the table next to the door and scooped his lover into his chest. kazuichi clutched to his gothic prince and mumbled a simple thank you. after a few minutes of explanation, they ended up lying on the bed together with kazuichi on gundham's chest. 

kazuichi looked up as his lover shifted over to his right. he saw that gundham was looking at wispy. the snake appeared to be happy to see the boy and tried to slither out of its tank. gundham looked at his boyfriend appearing to beg to take out the pet. kazuichi rolled his eyes and nodded. 

as gundham picked up the python, kazuichi smiled. he still didn't particularly enjoy the heteronormative holiday but his lover made it a bit less difficult to deal with. and after all, who doesn't love someone who likes snakes, right?
