Cuddles

It was freezing outside and frost had just begun to form on Kazuichi's window. He touched the glass but flinched away. Even with a glass pane in between him and the outside, his breath could still be seen in the room. He hoped that Gundham came home sooner rather than later to turn on the heat.

Kazuichi decided to occupy himself by checking on all the animals his boyfriend brings home. He didn't need to worry about the Dark Devas of Destruction since they were with their master at all times. The ones he did need to worry about though were the snakes and reptiles of the house.

He looked in Wispy's cage and saw the poor python snuggled near the lamp shining on its cage. Kazuichi knew the lamp wasn't providing enough heat so he scooped up the snake and held it in his arms. He took it downstairs where Gundham held his own snakes and placed it in their cage but further away so they wouldn't attack it. The heating lamp was already on so the overlord of ice must've already predicted this weather.

Unlike me, Kazuichi thought.

He looked over the room one last time before moving on to the main area of the house. All of the warm-blooded animals in the household were cuddled up on the couch. Even Kazuichi's cat, Jynx was laying amongst them. Kazuichi smiled and sat down next to them. They were all sleeping so peacefully.

Kazuichi decided to not disturb them and walked into the kitchen. He noticed little snowflakes beginning to fall outside. His breath became a small cloud in front of him again as he hoped that his lover would make it home safely.

Speak of the devil, a car pulled into their garage. Kazuichi smiled and walked into the room to greet his boyfriend.

Gundham was wearing his usual scarf with his big jacket except today he wore gloves to keep warm. He pulled out his belongings and turned off the car. Kazuichi cleared his throat and caught the breeders attention. Once he saw his lover, Gundham smiled and scooped him up in a hug.

"Hello, darling. How was your day?" he said.

"Freezing. You kinda forgot to turn on the heat when you left so I was left freezing with everyone else," Kazuichi said.

Gundham laughed nervously at remembering his mistake. He walked over to the heater and turned it on. It would take a while to turn on but at least it was better than frost. Kazuichi left the garage and went to check on Wispy.

The snake had uncurled itself and was exploring the tank with the other snakes. At least they weren't fighting.

Gundham walked behind Kazuichi and peered into the glass.

"Mortal, why is your snake in there with mine?"

"'Cause I don't have a heating lamp like you do sweetie. I didn't want him to die so I put 'em in here with the rest of the snakes," he said, closing the tank's lid.

He grabbed Gundhams hand and led him over to the couch. The animals that were snuggling on it had dispersed leaving Jynx to watch them. The boys sat down and Gundham pulled a blanket over them. Kazuichi curled into his lovers side. As Gundham excitedly talked about his day, Kazuichi drifted off to sleep.

Once Gundham noticed, he scooped up his boyfriend and took him into his respective room. He placed him on his bed. The breeder went to leave but was stopped by Kazuichi. He whimpered and tugged on his hand. Gundham smiled and climbed under the covers with him.

The two stayed that way until it was time to make dinner.
