Au: Hair color

Hello again! This is a classic but a good one.

For a while, Gundham's color strip has always been black. One day, the color faded to a hot pink that hurt his eyes. He was also grateful for the change since it would easier to spot his soulmate.

When he walked into the classroom at Hopes Peak, there only appeared to be one student who had the same color hair as the strip. The only issue was that the boy seemed to hate him, like a lot. Gundham determined that the boy wasn't his soulmate and perhaps someone else was his soulmate.

This thought happened to change when he woke up from the simulation. He was met with a tearful Kazuichi as he woke up. This confused him as the two had never been equal footing but now he felt sympathetic?

"Mortal...?" he asked, his voice rough.

Kazuichi looked up suddenly and wiped away his tears.

"You're awake! Oh my god, you're awake!" he wailed, wrapping his arms around Gundham's waist.

Gundham comforted the mortal but noticed the boy's color strip. It was the same colors as his hair. He then noticed that Kazuichi wasn't wearing his hat, revealing his darker roots.

"Kazuichi... would you happen to be my soulmate?" Gundham asked.

The mortal flinched looking up at him. Gundham showed his forearm which sported the same hot pink that resided in Kazuichi's hair. The tears in his eyes flowed again as Gundham pulled him in tighter.

After they were finished comforting one another, they walked out to the main area where the rest of the students were. Sonia glances over at the two before going back to comforting the stammering nurse next to her. When Hajime walked back into the room, he looked at his phone and got the attention of the class.

"We can head back to Hope's Peak. As long as everyone is okay with that, we'll be able to lead normal lives again," he said, looking around.

The class agreed and got back in the same boat that they had journeyed to the supposed island on. Kazuichi grippes Gundham's hand the entire time with a small smile. After they returned home, the pair picked up their lives again and stayed together for a while.
