so i'm back. it's been a bit hasn't it? i just watched a bunch of tik toks of dogs and now i want to write about it. 

kazuichi noticed that gundham has been a bit down since one of his hamsters had to have surgery and it was still asleep. when gundham was feeling down, he was quieter and more reserved than usual which seems impossible but he managed to do it. he would shuffle quietly around the house and decline any plans kazuichi attempted to make with him. 

to make him feel better, kazuichi left the house at an impossibly early hour (7:00 am) and went to the pet store down the street that gundham volunteered at sometimes. it was a quiet and cute place that he enjoyed picking gundham up from after his shift. it was right across the street from the Academy the two went to the year before.

he noticed that before his dark deva went into surgery, the boy had been talking about this corgi that hadn't been adopted yet and he had his eye on. the dogs name was roman (my name :)) and they were an adorable looking thing. 

the small bell rang as kazuichi opened the door to the shop and warmly greeted the teenager behind the counter that morning. he went directly to the back of the store and picked up the small baby. he giggled as the dog licked his face excitedly. 

"how much will it be for this boy right here?" he asked, resting the fluffy thing on his hip. 

"it'll be $120 altogether with a collar and identification tag, sir." 

"i'll take it." 

after the long process of getting the paperwork completed and the money paid, kazuichi placed the dog in the back seat and turned around to face the kid who had helped him get the gift. 

"you're gundhams partner, right?" the tall boy asked. 

kazuichi nodded, leaning against his car. 

"i noticed he's been really sad about his pet so you doing this is really nice, so i wanted to give you this from all of us at the pet store. give this to him and tell him we'll welcome him back from his extended break," the boy gave him a small figurine that was an amalgamation of everything that gundham loved. 

"thanks man! this is awesome. what's your name?"

"owada mondo. i'll see you later, alright."

"yup. thanks."

"see ya."

gundhams pov

i woke up with tears in my eyes. i looked over at the tank filled with medical equipment surrounding the poor creature. a knock sounded on my bedroom door. i turned on my light and went to go answer it. 

as i touched the knob, i heard what sounded like a yip come from the other side. my confusion peaked and i flung my door open. 

"oh, hey sweetie. i didn't know you were asleep, sorry for waking you," kazuichi said, trying to wrangle a very familiar looking dog. 

i gasped and reached out to receive the dog. roman leapt into my arms, licking my face. i laughed, tears beginning to stream down my face. arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me into my dears chest. a figurine was slipped into my hand and i glanced at it, nearly crying more. 

"this was given to me from one of your coworkers. he said that they'll accept you back when you're ready," he whispered, rubbing circles into my back and calming me down. 

"i love you and thank you my dear."

"i love you too, sweetie."

well now i am crying from the fluffy fluff. i'll see you later, my lovelies.
