I stay checking my face for breakouts, all these constant changing of environment makes my skin act up. But it seemed as if my skin care routine Paige shared with me is working wonders. That vanilla serum really brings out the glow.
As I admire my exterior in the mirror, I notice the reflection of my favorite person approaching from behind, enveloping me into a bone breaking hug.
"Hi." I breathe, spinning around into his hold to face him. About an inch apart as his minty breath fans against my nose.
"I think you glow naturally, with or without that vanilla serum thingy." He compliments as a smile forms on his cheeks.
"I was thinking out loud again?" I scowl.
"You're.." he shrugs, "kind always talking to yourself, babe."
"Yeah well, at least I don't do it in my sleep." Flashing him a taunting smile, I spin around to my initial position, continuing my admiration.
"Okay, you didn't have to go there." I can hear the annoyance in his voice.
"I'm sorry, baby." I coo, dropping the back of my head on his chest, only to feel when he places his chin on my mole, cupping my chin from behind.
"Whatever. Hey, listen up.. being that uhh, we're hardly in school these days because we only attend when we have an exam, I was thinking.." he trailes off.
"Hold that thought, I just remembered, I got you something." I cut him off, placing an index over his soft lips as I wiggle out of his hold, rambling through my Burberry bag.
"What's in here?" He looks at the small box I'm now holding, then darts his eyes to me.
"Just open it, God damnit."
He opens it, revealing two small necklaces, each has a word in arabic language.
"Wait, are these.. are these pendants of the tattoos we got?" He gapes and I nod, smiling excitedly.
"My God..."
"Since you got Trust and I got Truth, I'll wear Trust and you wear Truth."
"So you'll always be apart of me."
"And you'll always be apart of me." I coo, a warm grin makes their way to our faces before placing the necklaces around each other's neck.
"This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I'm never taking it off." He pushes a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Well, that was the idea but.. as simple and tiny as they appear, that's real, genuine gold, 19 karats each. And the pendants are diamond encrusted. So you might wanna consider getting robbed. Otherwise, knock yourself out."
He chuckles and shakes his head. "You're a dumbass, I'm wearing it everywhere."
"So..." I slap my palms together, "What were you saying earlier?"
"Oh! Okay, so before I was rudely interrupted..." I roll my eyes as he places his arms around my waist. "I have good news and bad news, which one would you like to know first?"
"Doesn't matter, give it to me." I wave him off carelessly.
"Right now?" He raises a brow.
"Yes." I scrunch my face as I now realize what he meant, by his stupid perverted smirk that dances on his lips. "Ew, you're such a fuck boy!" He holds his heart dramatically, I roll my eyes and he clears his throat to continue.
