Finn was in band practice, they were all waiting for Ayla to arrive. She was always on time but this time she was 15 minutes late making Finn a bit frustrated.

"no, Ayla stop" could be heard outside of the band room door. Ayla was pulling on Millie's arm to get her inside the room.

"Hey guys" Ayla says waving at them "I brought Millie" Millie waves shyly and whispers a hello. She stands there awkwardly having her arms crossed looking at the floor.

She makes sure to not make eye contact to Finn while he does the same but as they prepare to start the warm ups he glances at her and his heart skipped a beat. He thought she looked absolutely stunning even though she had dark circles and could see that she hasn't been getting much sleep.

He looked away in hopes no one saw him staring at her. He grabs his guitar tuning it and strumming the strings.

"I'm going to Starbucks do you guys want anything?" Millie asked as she stood up from the couch.

Jack and Malcolm immediately told Millie what they wanted. Ayla then told her what she wanted.

"Um what about you, do you want anything?"

"No, i'm good thanks" Finn said before going back to strumming chords. She nodded before leaving and closing the door behind her.

"Did something happen between you two?" asked Jack

"No" said Finn who was setting up the microphone.

"We can all feel the tension between you two" said Jack earning a slap in the head from Ayla.

"Whatever, let's just start already" he says. They finally begin practicing and after thirty minutes Millie is back with their drinks.

"Yess finally" exclaimed Jack as he took the drink and food from her. Malcolm and Ayla did the same.

"I got you a water" she says handing it to him, while their fingers brushed against each other. He says a thank you, she then walked over to Ayla.

"I'm going back to the apartment" she says to Ayla. She was near the corner, trying her best to be away from him. Being in the same room with him is just too much for her. She can't just sit there and be near him like if he didn't mean anything to her.

"We're almost done and don't want you alone when you might bump into him again." she says softly but for some reason Finn heard the last part making him furrow his eyebrows as to who they were talking about.

"I'll be fine"

"We'll be done in 15 minutes" says Ayla but Millie didn't want to stay there for another minute so she grabbed her stuff and left ignoring Ayla's calls after her.

She continues walking down the street turning the corner when she stops, she freezes on the spot when she sees him standing a couple of feet in front of her. He is leaning against the wall on his phone probably scrolling through Instagram. He seems unbothered, he seems like he did not knowing the fact that she's broken because of him.

She backs up quickly, her heart racing, she begins to breath heavily. She turns around the corner quickly but right as she does so she bumps into someone.

"Millie?" says a soft voice, she looks at the face in front of her. She immediately tackles the person into a hug.

"Sadie" she whispers "I missed you so much" she let's out a cry as she lets her tears roll down her cheeks.

"I missed you too" Sadie pulls away, she furrows her eyebrows "Are you okay?"

She shakes her head breathing shakily "Come one let's get you home" Sadie wraps her arms around her as they walk back to Millie's apartment taking a different route.

--

Sadie opened the door to the apartment, Ayla immediately gets up from the couch walking towards them.

"Millie I was so worried." she stands in front of the brunette with a concerned look. "You walked off and you weren't answering my calls"

"I'm sorry" Millie says. It wasn't her intention to make her worried or walk off it's just that everything has been too much for her. Seeing Finn again, talking about her past, having to relive those memories, it's all too much.

Ayla wraps her arms around Millie giving her a hug, rubbing her back. She pulls away leading her to the couch to sit down.

"I'll make her some tea" says Sadie, Ayla nods as she wraps a blanket around Millie who was shaking. Her lip quivering as she tried her best to not cry and let those memories appear again.

Ayla then goes to the kitchen where Sadie was filling up the pot with water.

"I bumped into her down the corner by the cafe. She seemed a bit shaken up, I think she maybe saw something or someone-" she says but is cut of by Ayla.

"She saw him"

"Him?" Sadie questioned confused as to who she was talking about.

A couple of  weeks earlier, Millie was waiting for her coffee when she heard his name being called. Once she saw him all those memories came flooding back to her. His hands on her, him ignoring her pleads, his touch all over her body. He was there, right in front of her looking at her as if he could see right through her.

"She's been going to therapy but I don't think she's talked about it much. You know, the night at the party and that day at the alley." Ayla said. She poured the hot boiling water carefully into a teacup and then added the tea bag.

"It's too much for her, she's been carrying all of these emotions etc. she's bound to break." says Sadie as she looked at Millie, sorrow in her blue eyes. Just the thought of everything that Millie has gone through makes her heart break for her best friend.
Sadie grabs the tea cup and they both walk to Millie who was still sitting down with the blanket wrapped around her body.

"Here you go" Sadie hands her the cup making sure she took a couple of sips to help her calm down.

"I should get going. I'm meeting up with Caleb"she stands up walking to the door "Call me if anything else happens" she tells Ayla making her nod.

Sadie closes the door behind her about to walk away when she is surprised to see standing a couple of feet away from her.

"Finn?"

"Sadie"

She walks to him hugging him "I haven't seen you since you left. Wait what are you doing here?"

"Ayla was freaking out about Millie. I wanted to make sure she was safe." he says. Sadie gives him a small smile, he has always cared for Millie.

"She's safe but I don't think it's a good idea for you to go in Finn." she didn't want to sound rude but he doesn't know how much he hurt Millie. She can only imagine how many break downs and sleepless nights she's had since she saw him.

"I'm about to go meet up with Caleb, you want to come? I'm sure he'll be excited to see you"

"Yeah. Let's go" he says. He puts his arm around her shoulder as they walk down the hallway floor making their way to Caleb.
