A knock came from the bedroom door, then again. A dark haired boy stepped in, a slice of cake in hand. He had a pale skin tone and looked a little like the dark haired girl sitting on the study desk a few feet away from the door. The boy strolled towards the wooden desk where the girl was sitting.
"Heyyyyy there Kendra!" The boy placed the slice of cake he was holding on the desk and smiled at the girl.
The girl gave her brother the death glare, "Stop it!! I hate that ugly name!" She got up and crossed her arms in front of her. "What do you want??"
"Sorry Seiren...hey! guess what?" The boy smiled, clearly unaffected by his sister's mood.
"What? Are you coming to tell me your mom found out about the Fire Bomb spell I had accidentally set off in the backyard? If so...get out."
"No...wait what?!? Okay I'm not gonna ask. But guess what Seiren..." He paused for the effect of suspense. "I got into Skyhaven Academy!!!!!" His sister immediately wrapped her arms around him.
"Oh my god!!! O.M.G! No way. You actually got in! I-I'm so happy!! Kiro!! You did it!!" Her smile stretched so wide it hurt her jaw.
She silently slipped her brother's mage stick out from his pocket, hoping he didn't notice-but he did-and ran downstairs pretending nothing happened. Her brother just stood there then thought about what his sister would so with his mage stick, it hit him like a wave. Then he was running after his sister calling her name.
"What are you doing with that?" He asked breathlessly as if he had been running, which he did. he eyed his mage stick hoping his sister got the message and gave it back, but she didn't.
"Practicing. I want to get into Skyhaven like you."
