"No way!!!" Drew's jaw dropped upon hearing some shocking news.

Kendra smirked that smirk she always smirked. "Yes way," she said.

"How come he never told me? How did you guys meet? When?" Drew's curiosity kicked in and he started to fire questions at a girl he didn't even know well.

Nobel slapped a hand on Drew's mouth to shut his friend up before he scared away their only way to knowing their squadron leader's inner thoughts and past. "Heheh...sorry about Drew, he's always curious." Nobel smiled sheepishly.

Kendra nodded and started to answer all of Drew's questions without hesitation. "Regan and I met when he accidentally climbed into my bedroom from the window...

A younger version of Kendra, she looked about six or seven and stood at her dresser doing her hair when a boy, young Regan, climbed through the window. Young Kendra turned around.

"Eep! Who are you?" she pulled out a mage stick and pointed it to the intruder.

"Who are you?? This is my room!" Young Regan replied, his hands in the air as is he were being arrested. "What have you done to my room?" he said, making Kendra looked kind of frightened.

"Kiro!!! There's a random kid in my room!" Young Kendra screamed for her brother to come and probably sort things out.

"Your room? Kid? Who do you thing you are to steal my room?" Young Regan said in disgust, mostly because Kendra had called him a kid. "I'm not a goat okay you are--"

The room door opened and a boy walked in. "Seiren?" He looked from Regan to his sister then back to Regan. "Aren't you the Atwood's son? You're Regan your house is next door by the way."

Kendra looked at the boy with some sort of triumph in her eyes and laughed. Her brother, on the other hand looked at the both children and told them to go to the neighbourhood playground to do whatever little kids did. Both of them smiled at the idea of visiting the playground, because little children at that age loved the playground, and ran outside laughing.

...well I guess I'm wasting your time." Kendra said to Nobel, Hank and Drew who were listening with much interest. She got up and prepared for her departure back into the busy diner's kitchen, "I guess I'll see you guys around?" She walked away, leaving them to stare at each other while they digested the news.

Hank paid for the bills for this meal and the one where Kendra chased them out of her diner. He figured it was a way to say thanks for letting them still come back to the diner. The gang went to the memorial park like how they always did. The park was always the place to be. Fresh green smells floated around, calming sounds of birds and a soft breeze brushing past once or twice in a minute.

"This is literally my favourite place in the whole wide world," Nobel said in a relaxed tone.

"Same," Hank and Drew said at the same time. They both looked at each other and screamed, "Jinx!!!" But Hank was slower by just a nanosecond and lost the jinxing competition. Drew snickered and Hank had to stay silent.

"Hank Celino!" Nobel screamed and Hank was un-jinxed.

"Hey! Unfair! Now he can talk!" Drew pouted and crossed his arms in an attempt to make himself look angry.

"Hahah! Come on guys lets go chill in one of those wooden seats they have everywhere around the park." Hank said because he didn't like standing around. The other two shrugged and the trio sat down on one of the many benches the park had to offer, staring into the distance...

The three sat there the whole day until it was almost sunset. Regan had not come to find them so they didn't find him. Drew started to fidget around because he was bored and naturally couldn't sit still.

"Can we go now?" He said, standing up to indicate he wanted to leave now. "I'm so bored. I haven't even been able to punch sand peasants butts today. And--"

Drew's sentence got cut by the start of Kendra's. "Hey Foxtrot. I didn't know you guys came here." she walked towards them.

"Oh, we were actually about to leave. Drew's just pretty sad he didn't get to punch sand peasant butt," Nobel got up, so did Hank.

"Hmm..." Kendra looked at them then said, "Well, do you want to train with me? I can duel even though I'm kind of rusty."

That brightened up Drew's day, although it was already sunset. "Oh yes!! A challenger! No melee though, I'm a mage."

Kendra put on her game face on. "Same here. And it is on." she crossed her arms and smirked. "I know a place we can duel. Follow me." They did, in a couple of minutes they were all standing near a large lake. The lake was the most stunning thing Nobel had ever seen. It was clear and still...right until the point Kendra and Drew took out their mage sticks.

Kendra's mage stick was purple and glowed. It matched the purple parts of her dip-dyed black hair. Drew's stick on the other hand looked rookie compared to Kendra's. Drew's was just plain brown with a slight blue at the tip.

"Wow! What kind of mage stick is that?" Nobel asked.

Kendra looked up at him and said, "It's an Illumina. Nothing special. Let's duel!!!" She raised up her wand and prepared to counter Drew's first attack...Fireball.

The Fireball was nothing special...just a Mana 1 spell which was weak. Kendra, on the other hand, fired back a Forgotten Army spell and knocked Drew out in the process.

"Uuhhhh!" Drew said as he flew into the lake with a large splash. "No fair! You had a better weapon than me!" Drew pouted, sitting in the lake.

"Train harder then," Kendra pointed her Illumina at Drew.

"You know Kendra," Nobel said slowly. "Our buddy said you had a pet ravanger." He hoped Kendra would story him but he was utterly mistaken.

Kendra's mood changed instantly. "You buddy huh? Might I ask, who?" She looked at Nobel and spoke in a dangerously calm voice, causing Nobel to seriously regret having opened his mouth in the first place. "Regan is going to regret he was even born."
