"Uhhh...please don't...you're not serious right?" Hank said, really hoping Kendra was kidding. To his relief she was, but there was still this chilling sensation going down his back.

Eventually, they all left because it was getting dark and curfew was nearing. They said goodbye and thanks to Kendra because Drew just realised he had levelled up his mana. They 3 boys shuffled back to the academy, Nobel looking back a couple of times to see whether their lady-friend was still standing there watching them go. She was, and she watched them go until they dissapeared due to the nighttime fog .

They boys reached the academy fight before curfew. But when they had finally reached their dorm curfew had already been called. All the lights shut off and they were only halfway up the stairs.

"Oh fat Dangoo's! Now were trapped on the stairs until someone comes here with a light," Drew huffed and reached out to locate where the rest of them were by touch.

"Uhh guys?" Hank called out from somewhere behind Drew. "Something just brushed against my arm..."

"It was me Dangoo," Drew rolled his eyes and went on feeling for the railing on the stairs. But suddenly felt something run over his palm and let out a high pitched shriek. This made Hank scream, because he was a scaredy-cat.

Nobel just stayed silent and prayed Regan heard them and came out with a candle.

"Oh Dangoo's! I felt it! It was warm...I think it was a...uuhhhhh..." Drew shook because the thought gave him the chills.

Suddenly the room door opened and light flooded into the stairwell. "Guys? What are you doing out here after curfew...also, not to mention all the screaming." It was Regan, Nobel smirked and walked up to the dorm, Drew and Hank in tow.

Regan looked at them with a questioning look as if waiting for an explanation on why they were late. Nobel was the one to speak up, as always. "We bumped into someone..." Regan instantly figured out who that 'someone' was. His face changed instantly.

"What did she tell you?" He frowned, expecting them to tell the truth, which they did.

"She told us about her childhood and meeting you," Nobel said.

"Also she spoke quite highly of you...well until--" Drew's sentence was cut by Regan's.

"Please don't tell me you asked about her ravanger pet." Regan said, even though he probably already knew the answer...they did.

Nobel looked at the floor while the other two looked pointedly at their friend. Regan sighed, knowing he couldn't turn back time. He also knew Kendra was probably hunting him down for spilling her secret about the ravanger. It was literally mentally exhausting to think about all his problems late at night so Regan chased the others to bed.

Regan lay down and tried to get some shut eye but sleep didn't come so easily as it had before they met Kendra. Now that she was out to get him it just made it worst. He closed his eyes and just lay there, enjoying the silence...

A little girl lay beside young Regan. The girl, Regan had recognized as young Kendra, looked at Regan with a small toothy smile. Regan, however, was giggling like a little girl.

"What's so funny?" Young Kendra stared at young Regan, her eyes shining with happiness.

"I still can't get over the fact that toad made you...jump!! Hahahah!" Regan stared to laugh, because he just made a joke out of it and it was really funny at that time. Kendra crossed her arms in an attempt to look unamused then started to grin.

"Well, I guess it was kinda funny...Toad and jump." She successfully made Regan laugh harder and started to laugh along with him. "Hah. Dumb frog jokes." Then Kendra started to make grass angles in the patch of grass she lay on, Regan still in a fit of laughter....Their surroundings started to dissapear but they were still giggling.

Then there was total darkness. Light started to pour into Regan's bedroom, the one he had back at their village. Somehow, Regan's conscience told him he was still dreaming. Young Regan woke up and scurried to his window.

"Commander Regan Atwood reporting for duty. Over!" Young Regan spoke into some sort of device that looked like a walkie-talkie. No one replied him. "Commander Rega--"

"Hi hi! Commander Kazuya Seiren reporting for duty. Over!" There was giggling when Kendra spoke, like she was trying to be serious when someone was tickling her.

"Sooo Commander K. What should do today?" Regan spoke while jumping on his bed.

"I don't know Commander A. Any ideas?" Kendra sounded as if she were also jumping on her bed. "Are you jumping on your bed?"

"Yes. Are you?"

"Yup!"

Regan smiled and stopped jumping, going to the toilet to change into day clothes. He brushed his teeth until it could probably blind someone and rushed downstairs to eat breakfast. His mom was cooking something that smelt good and Regan hopped up onto a chair.

"Morning mum!" He smiled at his mum who acknowledged his presence with nodding her head, not turning to face her child. "Guess what mum? Seiren and I are going to explore that abandoned mineing place we found yesterday!"

His mum sighed because she knew no amount of persuading could stop her son and his best friend from going into the most forbidden or dangerous places. "Well then," She said as she placed a plate of steaming fried egg in front of her son. "Be careful and please ask Shichiro to follow you guys. Okay?"

Regan wolfed down his egg and ran outside. "No promises mum!" He called.

Regan stood in front of Kendra's house and pressed on the doorbell until someone answered the door. "Hi Mrs. Kazuya! Where's Seiren?" Regan looked past Kendra's mom.

"Oh? Seiren! Get down now!" Her mother called fiercely. Kendra scurried down, her brother in tow.

"You sure you don't want me to come?" Kiro was saying as they reached the door. He had a worried look on his face.

"Yes." Kendra hugged her brother, burying her face in his chest. "Don't worry Kiro, I'll be fine." She assured her brother, his face calmed down a little.

"Okaayy..." He smiled. "Go enjoy yourself." He let go of his sister and Regan waved at his friend.

"Let's go!" Kendra smiled and they ran off laughing...

The sun shone directly on Regan's face causing to groan and wake up. It was already 8am.

Holy Dangoo's!!! Regan jumped out of bed. And ran to the toilet waking up his squadron mates. He was late for class. And not just late, extremely late.

He rushed to put on his grey uniform shorts and was buttoning up his shirt while running down the hallway towards his class. Class started at 7.30am and the teacher was never late. Regan opened the classroom door to see Commander Giles literally glaring at him, he knew he was doomed.

"Atwood!" The Commander bellowed...
